  1. Best player available. Simple as that. Misa's making a heckuva case!! Still, any of the top 4 would fill a need for the Sharks. I suspect Hagens, who many thought was likely 1st overall, is the one that I think the Sharks are tepid on. Sharks top talent is on the smaller side, as is Hagens.

  2. Our first choice should be Schaefer but Misa would be the second choice.

I like that Misa is making a case for going first overall.
If a team like Chicago or Buffalo wins the first overall pick, they might take Misa since they're both stacked on defense.
If that is the case, we could have the 2nd pick and still get Schaefer.

Misa is superb and I'd love to see a Smith and Chernyshov as his wingers.
That would be a superb second line behind Celebrini, Eklund and Musty.

I still think Schaefer would help the team more since Dickinson is our only extremely good defense prospect currently.
I'd like the Sharks to be 25th or 28th in 2027 and win the DuPont lottery too, but that's a ways off.

  3. If Schaefer isn’t available, Misa has to be the pick. He’s got the size and skill combo that would work perfectly with Eklund/Celebrini or Chernyshov/Smith
