Probably a genuine honest mistake, but I think you forgot 2022 when talking about playoff series wins
Lets go Flames 🔥🔥
*2004 Stanley Cup Champions
Thanks for the videos during your time off! We appreciate your hard work. I hope the travels back home were safe and as un-chaotic as it could be!
Calgary won against Dallas in game 7 in 2022
They won a series in '22
Flames fan here. C grade is accurate
Thanks for the video! Great info, details, and insights! I think you are doing the series fine. Flames have struggled to get very far. A C seems like a generous enough grade.
Thanks from Calgary, eh?
1:30 "meow"
The Flames also won a round in 2022 *RIP Johnny Gaudreau
A Calgary Flames history video for this period really should have mentioned the Greg Gilbert-Marc Savard feud. Savard asks to be traded, Craig Button trades him to Atlanta for a player who never plays a single NHL game, then fires Gilbert two weeks later. GMs, get recycled, but Button never got another GM job. Yes, the Flames went to the Final the year after that happened, but that was Iginla and especially Kiprusoff playing out of their damned minds, and dragging what was otherwise a middling AHL roster along with them. Iginla never had a decent offensive centre to play with for the rest of his time in Calgary.
Excellent series so far and I loved the season ones last summer.
I don't blame Shannon for not mentioning the only other playoff series win. After all, it's so rare for it to happen, and also, it was against Dallas. Great series! Thanks for the in-depth look!
We Flames fans are going through alot of pain. No end in sight. We have only Parekh. We got nothing else. 😅
All these years and Turek is still 4th on the wins list from 2000-2024? Wow!! 😮😅
1989 & really 2004!
Jerome iginla the wild killer, i went to a wild game against calgary, wild won and yes iginla scored. It was awesome. Man kirpusoff been a minute
Excellent series so far i love it
We beat Dallas in 2022 after Jake Oettinger and Jakob Markstrom put on one of the greatest 7 game duels in the history of the sport. Johnny Hockey scored the game 7 overtime winner and promptly got off the ice and hugged his injured best friend, Sean Monohan. In my lifetime, that was the best time being a flames fan ever. That was the peak of our franchise since the cup win in 89. Especially now considering Johnny Hockey has passed. Love ya THG, this one deserves a redo my friend.
Best Video Ever!!!
Damn, I'm a Flames fan and can hardly remember Keenan being coach. I must have blacked it out. I see they made the playoffs both years he was there. C is a fair grade but B- or C+ might be better because then they'd be right in the middle where they always seem to be. Never good enough to win anything, never bad enough to get top draft picks.
I'm a Blues fan. Jordan Binnigton won our only Stanley Cup. He's got some heart. He doesn't look nervous. But I know damn well that the numbers show that he's not really that good. Is he really the best Canada has got? What is the deal with goaltending in Canada?? Would have to be my question I guess. 🤔😎🍀
Lanny McDonald has a long mustash? 😜
Beat Dallas a few years ago in game 7 to play and lose to Edmonton. That series was awesome
I watched all your history vids. Second time round i just wasn't as interested. Maybe just cause history is written in stone, creativety on the same subject is, well, must be challenging. Repetative. Love your channel, peace.
Been enjoying this series learning more about hockey history before I started following it
I'm waiting for the Canucks one.
The only team (outside of the recent expansion teams) to never have a 1st overall pick.
Big flames fan, thanks for the vid! Low key Tanguay is easily one of my favorite flames. Absolutely sublime playmaker.
I get sad whenever Johnny is mentioned…
I bought his Jersey at my forst ever hockey game the day after I arrived in Canada from Australia.
I haven't worn it since he died. I will if the flames make the playoffs though
