The Barracuda struck first with Scott Sabourin and Thomas Bordeleau finding the net in the opening period, but Roland McKeown answered for San Diego to keep the game within reach. The Gulls capitalized on special teams, with Bailey netting a power-play goal in the second period to tie the game.
