If got Laughton and Risto, retained id be willing to give up a 1st and a prospect and we have to include atleast robby and timmins for space on the roster
If they want Laughton, then they may as well make it a bigger trade with Risto, and take care of 2 big needs in one trade.

I wouldn’t get rid of Cowan but I would get rid of Minten , 1st or 2nd round pick , Nick Robertson for Laughton and Ristolainen. Id rather go for Nelson mayfield , ROR/Schenn type of package.
No one minded toronto giving away a 1st for foligno at least laughton is only 30 and signed for next year ..
Why would you rather trade Minten then Cowan ? Cowan has way more upside . We have seen Cowan play for the leafs , he’s going to be a 4th line C or 3C at very best . Also Scott Laughton is not worth a first pick and Cowan what are you talking about Darius???

Don’t want Laughton especially if a first round pick is needed. I’ll pass would much rather go for a bigger name for a first round pick.
Doesnt matter, leafs need more than one difference maker, just watch the international four facing off….Marner, nylander,mathews ….where are they? it show just how weak the character of the team is!….yeah, yell at me, criticise me, but its true, leafs have regular season stars who cant produce under pressure, end of story.
For Scott Laughton? Really? Might as well shoot for the stars and get McCann to play wing with a young Minten. Get Oleksiak thrown in if need be

I'm not even that interested in that guy.. Never a 1st. Neither of Minten or Cowan. And possibly not even a 2nd.. Both Cowan and Minten would likely be their 3rd line C next year.
