I was thinking exactly what you said before you said it. You dont need to make every single video full of stats and comparisons and breakdowns. Just come on here and give you oppionions very little editing and maybe a coule screenshots or something and call it day. Make them short. Less then maybe 5Min until you really get some monitization going then you can head to 10 mins.
you breaking that down, Im on the same level I thought Laughton was much better defensively then he is. I think the reason why hes not traded yet is exactly why you said not many teams are willing to give up a 1st for a 3rd line guy. The best thing going for him is he has another year at only 3M. I dont know. If Philly retained 50% and too back a contract like a Reeves I would be all over that giving up a 1st. Having a 3rd line centre that makes only 1.5M who can get you 15-20 goals and PK thats HUGE even if he plays the wing. at 1.5M theres still room for them to go out and get another guy using their other 1st or a 2nd and Minten or whatever
So my ideal guy I would like the leafs to target is Jake Evans , I believe hes exactly what the leafs need. I think he would fit the style of play super well. Hes also a guy Im resigning as well maybe around the 3.5M range would be awesome If the Leafs culd swing a deal for Brandon Tanev and Jake Evans. Wow man. I would love their bottom 6. If they Could get 50% retained on Tanev that is. I think Evans would reuire alot less to get then Laughton as well
So theres going to be a bidding war on depth centres just about every playoff team needs deth centre. And it being the Leafs and Habs I could see them needing to overpay a bit.

If both teams would do something like that I would do it. Robertson to me will be traded at the deadline for depth 100% No doubt in my mind. Hes built like a top 6 forward but theres no place for him in thid top 6. He will get his trade.

Now Scott Laughton …NO. He is overrated. He is NOT a quality two way forward. A quality two way forward puts up 20 goals at least year after year. We need a 3rd line Center who can score. The problem in the playoffs is scoring. He does nothing to fix that. He is worth a 2nd rounder maybe

If the price isn't too high, sure. But I wonder if they try to do a larger deal and do something crazy like knab Sanheim or Konecny as well.
If there was 50% retention I’d give up a second and a prospect but no chance I’d go higher than that.

Always a treat when your vids pop up Stephen. Glad to see you're busy and doing well, but definitely miss the videos. Even if you do them periodically, could always have content from people that follow you here or Twitter and do AMA style vids!
Laughton and 16 goals doesn't cut it for the Leafs at 30 years old. Certainly not a 1st, not happening. Leafs need a second line center. I do miss O'Reilly but he is not interested.

Laughton is playing mostly wing. I want a true centre, and preferably someone with enough offense to play 2C in the event JT doesn't come back.

You can get retained Gourde and Brandon Tanev for that price. They have playoff experience at least
