  1. The Eagles "developed" their O-line by investing two 1st and two 2nd round picks in it. I've really soured on Schneider the last few years.

  2. The idea of developing Oline talent is good but until you show that you can do it. Repeating the same plan over and over with new coaches expecting different results is crazy. I understand wanting to see different coaches impact on players but a good player even under a bad coach shows what they could be.

Spending money on the oline and it not working out is so different that plugging square pieces in a round hole

  3. Another bad year of oline play and John is gonna risk losing his job if they don’t attempt to spend premium capital on the oline

  4. If Jeff wants Schneider”# plan to fix the offensive line, then he should apply for a job as assistant general manager. The idea that Schneider is going to reveal his plans to his competitors is absurd.

  5. Something that nobody mentions with John is that we have always had above average quarterbacks. However he has a lot of downsides as well. But we also have to give him his flowers for never over investing in a quarterback and still always having good QBs.

  6. Schnieder has just about worn out his welcome here in Seattle. He seems to believe he is above reproach. Don't get too comfortable John, everyone is replaceable.

  7. seth McLaughlin is coming off of a torn Achilles and that can take a least a year or longer to fully recover from (as Aaron Rogers demonstrated). However, he was the Rimington award winner last year and is very underrated, so if you didn’t need him to play until 2026, he’d be a great choice at Center in the fourth or fifth round.

  8. Sure we need to improve and develop guys like Haynes, Laumea, etc but that isn't going to cut it long term. They need to accept a major rebuild and bring in at minimum 2-3 top OLs or OL is going to be a problem again next year. It felt like JS was yet again setting up excuses for when they don't do what they need to do in this year's draft and free agency.

  9. So JS is using past big money free agency failures to justify not spending money to get a big OL signed?! Total BS! Nobody is suggesting we bring in 3-4 OL free agents to rebuild the OL. Most people are saying 1 or 2 big money OL free agents paired with 1-2 OL in the draft. That is a reasonable plan but JS is still resistant based on his comments to spend money on the OL.

If he doesn't fix the OL THIS YEAR I say we need a grass roots effort to get him fired. His core philosophies are flawed and won't help the team.

  10. Darn. I thought the title would go something like this .. 'John Schneider SOUNDS OFF. Announces he will be retiring because he realizes that after a full decade he doesn't know how to build a good oline.'

  11. They have to blend together a mixture of quality veteran free agents and home developed talent (just like the Rams do) in order to build an O-line that can make a super bowl.

John Schneider has absolutely refused over and over again to use the first part and maximize the line with quality free agents, and I'm so done with it! He's had 10 years to build a good line, and has shown to be incapable of doing so.

  12. 26:14 "we're not going to repeat/try to repeat the mistakes we've made". John Schneider has never spent top market money on a big name free agent offensive linemen. Completely ridiculous statement.

  13. Just an inaccurate big picture projection that I imputed before last season. I think this coach Mike/Snyder experiment just won’t work. The vibes, chemistry, and timing seemed off from the beginning. My bad guess is Snyder will be gone after this season. Mike soon afterwards.

  14. Come on guys last year was a new coaching staff! We’re fixing the OL by bringing in New Coaches & adding new OL! Seattle has the 2 most important OL positions on the roster!

  15. Schneider told you Seattle will no longer sign FA OL who are on the back end of their career for stater positions, especially injury prone guys & Seattle’s draft OL need time to develop & better coaching just like Philly! Seattle invested in Bradford & Haynes they have no choice but to give them a chance to become starters! They now know if Bradford is a fit!

Last year was an anomaly! You don’t invest heavily in FA when you have a new coaching staff! So they didn’t! 1 year offers are a nothing burger & small mid size contracts are a nothing burger!

Schneider also told you Everyone is going to draft OL in the draft if given the chance = #18 & #50 positions should be sketchy for OL! Should & Will r not the same!

Schneider also said he & his scouts are impressed with a guy from North Carolina = Omarion Hampton! He turned down big NIL money to stay @ NC! Every NFL Team now knows Seattle likes OM or is this intentional disinformation?

  16. Cream of Crop in FA this year are RG’s not LG! Trey Smith dropped in the draft because he had blood clots in the lungs!

  17. John Schneider sounds like a politician the past 5 years is been saying the same thing and he doesn’t deliver, time for a GM change someone who can build from the trenches out

  18. Personally I felt like JS BS’d his way through the interview and doesn’t give off the vibe that he really cares. Seems like just a job and not a passion at this point.
