Trade
Depends what the number comes in at.
Keep him and add at the deadline fellas
He stared down a Penguin's fan after scoring, too. I thought he'd have a hard time doing that in our barn and would save it for the games on the road, but I'm loving it!
I think the ball's in Andersson's court right now. If he wants to stay, then Calgary should negotiate a contract extension with him starting July 1, 2025. But if he DOESN'T want to stay, or if he adn the team cannot come to terms on a new deal, then we should try and trade him at the deadline in 2026. We should NOT trade him away right now unless the assets coming back are a clear, no-brain win for Calgary.
The way he's been playing now, personally I think we should keep him and start negotiations as soon as possible.
I love Retroās idea.
Letās move Rasy to Utah for Tij. I would LOVE THAT.
A deal around those 2 would benefit both teams. We have young D-men that are coming up, Utah needs D, and we need young star forwards. Utah has them
Anderson could easily play at a high level for another 10 years ! Unless you are getting a Generational talent like a Tj Iginla for him there is NO reason to trade a player of his caliber for a Draft pick.
Extend.
Canāt negotiate and extend him till next off-season, so unless Conroy get an offer he absolutely canāt refuse, thereās no rush to make this decision
Iām trying to communicate this on PuckGM, but keep getting told Anderssonās not very good defensively and isnāt a 2RDā¦
Sign Anderson to 5yrs for 6m by then zayne would be fully ready for the Norris
For a top prospect like Tij or a first pick from another teamāor even bothāwe trust Conroy.
If Rasmus ends up being one of the best D-men in the league this year he could ask for 9 million at 7 or 8 years. Not sure we'd want to do that so taking the giant trade package might not be a bad idea. You could get a first-round pick, plus a younger D-man and a top prospect. You'll need the extra cap space to sign Zary, Coronato, Pospisil and some of your young talent of the future.
His staredowns have been as impressive as his play. š Trade him for Tij!
If Rasmus Anderson wants to stay in Calgary long term, Sign HIM!!! If he doesn't then trade him. It's so difficult to find guys who are good AND want to play here.
