The New York Islanders Got Some Serious But Encouraging News About Defenseman Mike Reilly
The New York Islanders updated the media and fans about the condition of defenseman Mike Reilly. The veteran blueliner will be out indefinitely after doctors discovered a pre-existing heart condition. Reilly will undergo surgery today and should be able to resume a normal life and his hockey career, but it will take a while until he is ready to return.

8. 1 g 7 a thru 15 games. -5, 4 ppa. Dude has fallen off a cliff. Just a slump or was last season an aberration? 8 tries to do too much and makes too many mistakes probably due to lack of offense and no other offensive threats on blue line. That is why among the many needs of isles another d man that can move the puck and provide offense is needed to take some of the pressure off of 8 to do it all on back end. 8 will want $7-$8 mill after this season. Louzer sure to give 8 another max 8 year deal.
Best Wishes to Mike Reilly and hopefully a speedy recovery. St Francis hospital in Roslyn is one of the best cardiac centers in the United States, they handled my procedure a couple of years ago and I wouldn't go anywhere else should the need arise again. As for Noah Dobson, you nailed the analysis perfectly Gil, Dobson lacks the hockey IQ to be anything other than a defensive liability, the best thing Roy can do is to make sure that in the final six minutes of close games, Roy makes absolutely certain that Dobson's butt is glued to the bench.😊

Good morning team! Gil, devastating news about Reilly. Of course we all wish him a speedy recovery, and we'll keep him in our prayers. Truthfully his injury was a blessing in disguise. I'm now looking forward to getting back some of our players, as time rolls on. Hopefully within the next couple of weeks we should see players coming back. Fingers crossed the rest of the team remains healthy as we get our injured players back. The Flames are on our radar. Keep playing fundamental hockey. Looking forward to this game. Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? Lou Lamoriello addressed the media about injury situations, and in this case, Mike Reilly is out indefinitely. He's going under the knife for a ❤️ condition. I wish him well. Also, Alexander Romanov is on a day to day basis. He might be back tonight. Anthony DuClair's still not skating. Noah Dobson will get better as the season goes on, I hope. They're in Calgary tonight. The Flames and Islanders have been playing tough each other ever since the long ago days when the Flames were in the ATL. HAPPY 🎂, RON SMITH, an original Islander didn't play well. He got his only goal against The Flyers at The Spectrum, and got 🚬, too. I also read where Dave Schultz challenged the entire Islander bench, and when then they wouldn't give him the satisfaction, he laughed his head off. Of course, he got his 2 years later, thanks to Jethro. Foot note, aftet Schultz respected Jethro, and they were good friends. Hear from you later, Gil, and LET'S GO ISLANDERS.

Without specifics the same type of a situation happened with my sister. During pre-op for heart ablation other things were thankfully caught early which otherwise would have been fatal
I have to wonder if Isiah George shouldn't be that Power Play quarterback .. It would be an interesting twist … he can see the ice and can skate … worth the try …
