The World Juniors is still leaving a bad taste in my mouth with Hockey Canada. Especially with the goaltending I just dont have a whole lot of hype and/or hope going into this tourney.
Canadians who are pissed at Trump and his tariffs don't boo. Instead sit down and put your hat on as the American anthem is sung. Let the arena go silent to send our message.
1. Finland has perhaps the best goalies of the tournament
2. Finland will make a tactical move regarding the 1st power unit. They can put Mikael Granlund in the 2nd power unit and Olli Määtän or Teuvo Teräväinen in place of Patrik Laine as a sniper on the blue line.
3. Artturi Lehkonen and Joel Armia are also an interesting combination (They played together in Montreal) Patrik Laine can be put in third!
4. Erik Haula and Eetu Luostarinen as well as Anton Lundell and Aleksander Barkov are great penalty Kill players!
I think it almost doesn't matter what kind of stars play together on the ice or what the statistics say. I have a strong feeling that the goalie's game will decide the winner of the 4 Nations Tournament. Special situation play, especially when penalty kill play, can be a decisive point. However, the focus is on the teams' goalie's game. As well as the referee's line in difficult situations. In many prestigious competitions, we have seen outright spinelessness and cowardice and coat-turning in the actions of the referees. I hope the game will be decided by fair play, not a terrible referee's line!
