Noah Dobson is a highly polarizing and controversial player. I say this because he is a Offensive D Man that can realistically score 50-55 pts per season. There is real value for a player like this for many teams
However, after saying the above, Dobson remains a liability on Defense
Now that would not be a problem is he could consistently rush the puck up the ice, make the outlet pass and QB PP1
This is why Dobson is such a difficult player to quantify
When you have a offensive D who is weak on D you want that to start the transition offensive but that's not Dobson
We can't over rate Dobson just because he is a young player and we are desperate for young players
Dobson sucks period.trade him for a young scorer asap and a pick. Louzer better male a major move before the deadline

The Islanders have a chance to make the playoffs; but they've still got to get better on the specialty units, not mention STAY HEALTHY. The goaltending situation is worrysome with Simeyon Varlamov and Marcus Hochberg both out with injuries. Lou Lamoriello needs to do something and fast, but something tells me, "HE WON'T." Noah Dobson hired a new agent, but will he be shown the 💰? Dobson's having an ugly season not only on offense but on defense, too. It's going to be interesting to 👀 what they Islanders offer him. Good morning team! Gil, great topic, but I have my doubts the Islanders make the playoffs this season, and here are my reasons. If the Islanders play the last 27 games the way they played the last 55, the Islanders end the season with 85 points. Years ago, that would have put your team into the playoffs, but the past few years, 85 points wouldn't have. Add to that the injuries the team has suffered, especially with a high caliber play like Barzy, I have serious doubts they get to even 85 points. Mix that in with how the division is so tight, I feel the Islanders will be on the outside looking in. I hope that doesn't happen and they get on a similar win streak to the one before the loses we just had. This may be the time to change out the team before the deadline. That being said, I'm ok with missing the playoffs if we can start to improve the team. Thanks again for what you do, Sir. Everyone, have a great day! See you all again tomorrow. Until then.. be serious….no way whatsoever noah is moved. he is going to be signed for big money 8 x8 or even pushing 8.5 , 9 i could see…closest thing to a "blue chip " that this team has. incidentally not that these models mean anythingn but moneypuck puts us at 33% chance 1 in 3
Gm Gil. The style of play the Isles play which is low scoring means that Dobson is a liability … He's a tradeable asset … sell him for draft picks. I don't see them making the playoffs and if they do, i expect them to exit in 4 to 5 games.

Dobson for kyriou straight up id do, trade Nelson and palms for picks, in the offseason trade for Shane pinto to replace Nelson, trade lee’s contract in the offseason and sign a top free agent forward, extend Deangelo
