  1. I would say as far as the fan base goes losing Veggie would actually make the fans pretty upset I would say Guenther, Veggie, and Obrien are the players that have really made an impression on the fans and who fans gravitate toward. Theres a lot of people who have no love for Ingram even though he's been playing well since his return. I don't agree with the dislike of Ingram or think it's a crazy idea to trade Veggie. Again as long as the price is right.

  2. I agree that either Ingram or Vejmelka will be traded by the deadline or, at the latest, during the off-season. Utah needs to establish a clear starting goaltender, and I believe it’s time for Stauber to step into the backup role.

While Vejmelka is at the end of his contract, another key discussion point is that both he and Ingram are due for raises. Ingram has one year left on his deal and will require an extension next season.

From a fan’s perspective, Vejmelka has quickly become a favorite. Statistically, he has performed better, and I believe he will thrive even more with an uncontested starting role. From a GM’s standpoint, his numbers suggest he could be the better long-term solution, particularly for future playoff runs.

I have nothing but respect for Ingram, but I think he holds significant trade value as a potential starting goaltender for a team in need. Utah should target teams struggling in net and looking to trade for a forward. Pittsburgh, for example, has had major goaltending issues—perhaps a deal involving Bryan Rust and additional assets could work.

Ultimately, I’d love to see Vejmelka stay, both from a fan and business perspective. Trading Ingram could bring in a much-needed veteran forward while solidifying the goaltending situation.

  3. I disagree on trading Veggie. If anything I would try to trade Ingram instead and get value back that way. To me, Veg has undoubtedly proved himself and been so much better even though I'm aware Ingram has missed time due to no fault of his own and I do like Ingram as he's solid. Problem is Ingrams health and my personal preference of Veggie just being better imo and that's not a slight to Ingram it's just the way I see it. Veggie is better statistically and according to the eye test when I watch the games. He's one of the few players who actually has been consistent this year and it would be a tragedy to get rid of him even if he's on a contract year and even if other teams would love him.. I could care less about the record. He's the best goalie on the team and one of the best goalies in the league this year. See if you can keep him and let go of Ingram instead

  4. So why would we trade a potential starter and become one of those desperate teams. Especially when we’re expecting to take a big swing for a forward whom can score? Trade Ingram, allow Veg to become our starter and bring up Stauber for good and let him do his thing.
