QUESTION OF THE WEEK: Is the Habs’ recent slide due to injuries and lack of depth, fatigue, or are the Canadiens simply not ready for the playoffs yet?

  1. On anthems and half-time shows…
I tip my hat to Bob Marley.

  2. Great show again Amy Rick and ty for the dr. MORRIS insight . I love that you do that . Hes appreciated. Sorry i didnt comment week before ended up extremely ill and just starting mend , was litterally bed ridden for over 7 days . Ok so to answer this weeks question. As far as habs they played way over their head heads. Realty is back. They arent deep enough and are no where s near ready . Two yrs they shhould start to be. Cant blame it on health, they ve really been for the most part in much better health than prior yrs. Demidov should be a great help next season to actually start giving us a top six. But this team needs to stay off excuses. All teams have the same excuse they can use and it doesnt fly with me , i use to train and play all yr round and i loved it. So this team really needs to sit down with the old greats. Gainey , Lemaire, Robinson, Dryden , S. Savard, and Nilan, and Carbonneau. These guys never made excuses and were honored to play. Molson needs to introduce these greats to work on culture( no excuses ). They did as expected and yes the loss of Heinemen ,and Guhle hurt ,but a good team learns how to work around that. This team is just not deep enough yet. And who knows what trade deadline brings doesnt sound good on Evans and Armia fronts . Seems like their far apart on talks. Thats a shame that ll set our 4 th line back. But its obvious were sellers , so the rest of free agents are game as well. So lets hope management does well. There are a ccouple concerns with some of the future big pics of our furture team ( Slav , Dach. ) and God knows with Laine, Newhook. I think vital who we add from here on in. Now correcting a few erras not a bad idea , cautiously. And Amy congrats on superbowl win ( Eagles ). I m a Steelers fans ,but Eagkes always one of my go to teams when Steelers arent there. I have to say i really thought cheifs were going to crush us , but i had to stay up and celebrate the upset of cheifs. To think i almost wasnt going to watch , glad i did. What a performance by Eagles and Hurts . Cograts Super bowl champs Eagles . Nice to see Mahomes go down. Lol great show . Now lets hope after four nations habs can at least be entertaining, that ll take some doing .

  3. Great show!
Steven does a great job of explaining complex things in simple words. It's not enough to be knowledgeable, You also need to be able to share Your knowledge.

When this story with the US anthem started, I also thought about the Americans in Canadian teams. It seems to Me that sports and the strength of our love for it should unite people. I remember the famous cricket match between India and Pakistan and the first handshake between the leaders of the two countries in decades. It may sound naive, but I believe in Olympic ideals; no matter what.

  4. In case people already forgot about th record setting injury year the call ups did better than the regulars that were injured. That proved that sometimes plyaers need a chance to play HQ minutes instead of always going with the same losing formula.
Last year I thought Guhle was ho hum not yet ready for prime tiem but at the start of his year he was our best most consistent >>>responsible player. However that did not last long around game 20 or so he started to fade his early plus 6 became a minus.
He did of late manage a big rebound as did the Habs going +7 in only 8 games to get back to the +2 mark so not so bad. However like the habs this is what mediocre players do they show inconsistencies 1-2 weeks they look great then 2 weeks they look ho hum or bad.
The reason the team is inconsistent is they don't "get it"they really don't understand how to play the game properly how to THINK so you end up seeing a lot of hit n miss hockey.
