I don't even know what to say…
-4 nations doesn't in the least bit excite me and is a needless $$$-grab tourney not legit without russia/czech there. Crosby already playing with a nicked noggin so injuries will occur. Good thing banged up isles only have one guy 29 there.
-And speaking of 29 chatter is a re-sign is coming. Isles fans have heard that one before. And what if 29 isn't re-signed by tdl? Stubborn louzer only does things his own way so louzer is risking 29 re-sign which means a sell-off/re-tool is never happening. No deal is suddenly gonna turn isles into playoff contender as louzer smells more cap $$$'s to squeeze his guys including 21 under that cap in off-season.
-And eiserman is it. Weekly ahl b'port report verifies why a sell-off that wont occur needs to occur. Hopefully eiserman goes from bu straight to isles and not having to play with sub-par ahl'ers/coaching that will drag him down. So same old shit unless louzer deals first isles will be in their usual middle of first round pick spot-again.
The reports are that Methusaleh has already made an extension offer to Nelson. This is disastrous for the franchise on several levels….clearly his over confidence in the ability to re-sign Nelson means that yet another asset with value, will most likely evaporate into nothing. More terrorizing than that is his intention to run the team next season by virtue of him making the offer in the first place, I have nightmares where he has a pre-season press conference in September to announce his latest acquisition…Vladimir Tarasenko…and I wake up screaming.😮
Is it me or does the NYI Rags rivalry feel like it lost all that delicious hatred?? What better way to bring back the heat by acquiring Petterson, adding a much needed wrinkle to the rivalry! Petty VS his nemesis in JT Miller would be freaking AWESOME!
If I were Nelson, I'd tell Lou to trade me for a kings ransom, and this summer, I'll sign a deal to end my career as a NY Islander! If Nelson does something like that, he'll become one of the greatest Islander ever and the King of LI!
Reports are that Lou submitted a short term deal to Nelson most likely 3 years and that Nelson has not signed the deal. Nelson went from I love the Islanders and want to stay and don't understand where these stories about me going to MN is a done deal is coming from. To now saying that this is a major decision for me and my wife and family and kids and need the process to play out
This tells me his preferred destination is MN and waiting to see if guerin will give him 5 year if he does he is gone and if not he stays

Trade Nelson ! We are not contenders this year. There is a rumor Colorado wants him and offered Mittelstadt and a pick. l would love that trade. Cole Eiserman will be a 40 goal scorer in the NHL he just needs to round out his all around game ,let him stay in Boston another year ( hopefully 2026 he is ready).
Good 🌄, Gil, how are you? This tournament sounds exciting. When asked if he wants to stay in NY, Nelson said I'm thinking of what's best for myself and my family. I know everybody wants an answer, but to quote The Rolling Stones, "YOU CAN'T ALWAYS GET WHAT YOU WANT." If the Islanders are smart, they'll sign him to a two year deal if he leaves, I don't want the divorce to be bitter. Cole Eisernman was in the Bean Pot Tournament in Boston. BU got the upset win, and Eisernman got the GW Goal. He still needs to work on what to do when he doesn't have the puck, especially on defense. Bridgeport split the last 2 games. HAPPY 🎂, DEREK KING. He scored 40 goals 36 assists in 1988-89. He scored 4 goals in a win over the then Quebec Nordiques. Hear from you later, Gil. Where is Nelson’s wife from? He’s from an iconic MN family. It’s probably place he’d actually like to return to. But unlike days of old. Isles are not in a rush to leave LI. It’s a great place to live if you’ve got a few bucks. Lou should do a Bourque. Send him to a contender let him have shot at Cup. Then sign him over the summer if he wants to come back. I think his family is pretty settled in on LI and he probably would be happy to return. As I said MN is probably a desirable location as well
I have mixed feelings about this tournament. I am sure fans all around the NHL are concerned about the prospect of injuries for their players in this tournament. I wish Brock the best he has been a stellar player for us. Derek King was one of my favorites, I bought his jersey back in the day and passed it down to my son. LGI

Hi Gil! 4 nations does not do anything for me. Might as well have USA Vs Canada play and get it over with. Gil, this is Brock’s last contract IMO. Some players take the money, others go home. He will never see this kind of money ever again. I wish him well but if Lou gives him 4 times 7 we’re cooked. His agent already said he will test free agency——do we not learn anything at all from pajama boy? Does Louless really believe he is a difference maker? Where are we with Brock? Geez say goodbye and get a number 1 and a player. Gil IMO we can take his money and invest in a “YOUNGER” player!! I love the guy but he’s not an annual 40 goal scorer, he’s not physical and we need change. Gil you had a great show about the Dynasty Islanders—-can you imagine how gut wrenching it was for RIP Mr. Torrey to trade those guys? Why are these guys so untouchable—-I just can’t wrap my head around this. We’re never going anywhere like this. I feel Cole has no business at Bridgeport. Look at Gatcomb—he came out of nowhere and was stuck down there. I don’t trust Bridgeport player development. Bottom line here for me? I have serious concerns moving forward. Lastly—-fans are no longer available to stand behind the glass in warm ups—-only VIP crap? Are you serious? So they took away our tailgating, make us walk a mountain to get to the arena—-charge us up the wahoo to breathe and now kids can’t stand behind the glass for warm ups? Absolutely unacceptable, disgraceful and owners should at least address this much.
