  1. I really felt his positive energy was infectious for the team; however, many of his goals were simply tap-in or deflection goals around the net. While he admittedly had a nose for the net, he didn't generate many even-strength offensive scoring opportunities himself and relied on others to get the puck to him up near the net. This and the fact that he was not the most attentive or responsible defensive player led to his demise in Vancouver.

  2. I still miss Kuzmenko. I really wish he had better defensive awareness. If he did, he would still be a Canuck.

  3. Same thing as in Calgary. You don’t go far in this league without a defensive game. Coaches won’t tolerate it. Seems like a great personality and he has offensive skill though

  4. Kuzy might be happier on a team like SJS or CHI where he can do whatever he want and still be a big upgrade.

  5. I wish he stayed with the Canucks… they would be a better team because the media would have to be so focused on his darling personality they wouldn't have time with their other bullshit 😀

  6. He couldn't work under tochett, working under tortz…Good luck.. At least tortz won't sugar coat it!

  7. Torts will find out real soon that Kuzy doesn't like defense. Or any disciplined positional play. His great personality will only get him so far. All coaches want him gone sooner or later.

  8. Why do I have the feeling Torts will be ejected from the NHL after what he's going to say/do to Kuz in the near future for his lack of effort? Tocchet is a "similar" style coach to Torts, but he's more patient and better at communicating. Torts has a very short temper and lashes out in an abusive manner when he goes off.

  9. Tocc wanted Kuz to play some defense but he didn’t. Torts has even higher demands on defence, plus he’ll yell in ur face also. I’m sure Kuz will have an even funner time in Philly when he surrenders a bunch of odd man rushes, and give torts more grey hairs. Lolol

  10. Philadelphia knows what type of player Kuzmenko is and asking him to be something other than that is just dumb. This guy can score get somebody else to play defense.

  11. I wish he could have stayed with the Canucks. Great personality. But somehow just cannot be so defensively aware at a high level. Probably on the bigger ice surface in Europe, he has more time to make decisions. It will be interesting to see how he does with a very demanding and very "honest" coach in Torts.

  12. The guy's got a great personality. I'm sure his teammates love him, even if the coach may not. Great with the media too.

  13. "Ya talented. We will see how he is after blocking shots with his face more." Torts and Kuzzi are oil and water

  14. This guy was someone who could read off of petey and petey could read off of him. He made petey a 100 point player.
