Canucks need forwards not defenceman rn. Dobson would be nice but not as the main piece in a petey trade. The isles package would have to include barzal for NY. Maybe barzal and Dobson to Canucks for petey and boeser? Something like that would be the deal
Canucks won’t trade pety for Dobson, they will have no offence.
This would stack the d core but then our only top 6 center is chityl. Would leave us dry down the middle
And seeing petey and Horvat together again not on the Canucks would make me sad ;(
No way canucks trade EP40 for a defender. That would mean that everyone at center is gone. They would have to put Lankinen as nr 1 C

I always wanted to see Ottawa get Noah Dobson and I would give up a Josh Norris and JBD or Artem Zub for Dobson. As much as shutdown defensemen are nice, they need a threat on the back-end and Dobson I think would be a great fit with Sanderson, and thus letting Carter Yakemchuk play with Kleven.

If Dobson is actually available, the Leafs should go hard after him. He is exactly what they are missing in their D group. 1st + Cowan + Niemela would all be on the table in my mind. I agree with your take on Minten, as being a super important piece for the Leafs longterm.
pettersson to islanders, i dont know how the offensive upside of pettersson is going to get resolved, by going to the most defensive team in the league. i guess if he plays with barzel and those two get controlled entries, that could be something.

I’m not opposed to trading anyone. Except maybe Quinn Hughes because he’s irreplaceable. But my concern is that they just traded one of their top 2 centres. Chytil looks like a decent 2nd line option, but if they move Pettersson, who plays 1C? I’ve heard Cozens and Dobson for him. Even if that’s the deal, Cozens is a 2C at best. Now their D is stacked, but the forward group looks anemic. And Boeser is probably out anyway.
That's a massive overpay for Petterson. Lou's not getting hosed like that. Lol.

About the 3 possible trade proposals: 1. The price for Dobson seems too high for me. 2. I like the Flyers trade better. I would do it but I don't think Philly would. 3. Ian Cole stinks. I don't want him. I like the Tavares video that was playing in the background at the beginning of the video. That was cool. Too bad he's not playing at the 4 Nations. Team Canada could have used him.
Canucks already rebuild blueline with MP plus new 3rd line EP25 and incoming 1st round Def Rookie and dream on if canucks will trade EP40 age 26 to out of playoff NYI tier 2/3 players
Scott Laughton would be a great asset to the Leafs. He’s a solid 3rd like center and 1st line PK.

What about the cousins trade for petterson with say an Owen power or a bo byramin like they been speculation
