Where do you see Dickinson playing next year?
Do you think Chernyshov gets any AHL games at the end of this season if Saginaw has a quick playoff exit?
Igor would be eligible to play in the AHL next season even if he was drafted from a CHL team since he’s a 2005 birthday so he’d be 20 before December 31st of this year. Regardless it’s great to see how well he’s started!
Are Dickenson’s defensive issues mainly with awareness when in his own zone, standing up at the blue line, defending the rush, reading the ice? Good video!
I’m not worried about Sam Dickinsons production, I’m worried about his defensive awareness he needs all the reps he can get.

If Im Grier I would do similar development days like Will Smith this year. Smitty’s development should be a model for the NHL future superstars. Have Dickinson play the entire year next year, however, maybe he plays one game sits one… If he gets on a streak or if he gets cold, then you can play him longer or sit him longer. Ideally, he gets 40–50 games. In between you can call up guys like Cags. The CHL rules are bogus… Playing Dickinson in the CHL would be foolish at best next year. They need to change the CHL rules or have some exceptional status. These guys need to go to the AHL after dominating this CHL as top prospects.
