  1. Spot on – the OL drafting has never had a plan for years – and there is no development of the lineman. Appreciate this discussion!

  2. Didn't Scot McCloughan have a big impact on drafts early on in JS' stint with the Seahawks? He has always seemed like a very good evaluator of talent – seems like JS' ego didn't like SM getting too much credit. Drafting has been not great since the early Pete years.

  3. You guys sound like BOZOS trying to say the Seahawks should sign Kirk over Geno simply because hes cheaper and SOME fans dont like Geno. Geno is not the problem and never was you are delusional if you think he is. GET HIM AN OFFENSIVE LINE AND LET THE KUBIAK OFFENSE COME TO LIFE. Kirk is TERRIBLE compared to Geno Smith. Kirk is a complete SHELL of himself meanwhile Geno is still playing great ball. Geno needs to be protected upfront better before you even start to criticize his play because the OLine is always terrible and our Offensive coordinators the last few seasons, Couldnt coordinate clapping their own two hands together if they tried their hardest most of the time. Waldron and Grubb were experimental failures and slouches. Not who you want running your offense with DK Metcalf, JSN, and all these other weapons. Kubiak is gonna unleash Geno for a year and maybe even longer depending what he looks like next season. Seahawks are gonna play it smart and grab a QB when the time is right. No rush to grab a young QB when you have plenty of cushion and safety and experience and leadership with Geno Smith at the helm. Any offense with Kirk Cousins does not have a legit chance at competing for winning the NFC West, Kirk barely will help any offense be a top 10-15 offense at this point. His arm isnt good, His brain isnt what it use to be, his legs dont move and hes regressed completely. Hes Derek Carr at this point. Geno just won you 10 games almost 12 games, you just said it yourself 😂😂😂 Why contradict the facts? Geno >> Kirk any day of the week. Look what Seattle did to Kirk in the Falcons game.. Why would we sign Kirk and draft a young QB when thats JUST what Atlanta DID to Kirk and look how it turned out for him.. His play fell off a cliff halfway through the year and he ended it on the bench. Boooooo. NO KIRK.

  4. This season we seen the highest ceiling of all OCs the first two games with Kubiak, but we also seen the lowest floor also,
If we do make the playoffs I don’t think we want dr. Jeckell and Mr. Hyde on our side.
You can struggle because of injuries but to absolutely suck is something completely different.

  5. I would hand the reigns over to QB J.Hall next season. If he doesn't pan out, we got the following draft for a much better QB. If Hall does great, nothing to worry about. We need to start young and Coach Mike likes this Hall guy too

  6. Really good points about Mahomes and Allen. It’s easy to forget the red flags they had. I recall Josh Allen’s tape and stats were awful AND he played in a weak conference. They played Oregon his Senior year and he barely managed 100 yards passing. Then there are ‘can’t-miss’ QB’s who miss almost every year.

Lesson: have to take project, take chances and be willing to miss to find The guy. Even then, pundits will say you reached.

  7. Rob and Jeff thank you for the show you put on. Your point as to just taking a QB keeps leading me back to Jaxson Dart. I know he has flaws, I know he isn't a polished player yet but he reminds me so much of Jordan Love. I really see a very easy comparison there and honestly drafting at 14-18 every year the Hawks have to take a chance at a guy. I am not saying start him right away but man something has to give, 2 Qb's taken in 15 years is just not cutting it.

The only other guy I feel even remotely comfortable taking is Will Howard and that is because he in the most intense moments of his college career stepped up and made play after play. I understand again it was a crazy ridiculous roster, but he did not choke. I think you plug a guy like him on the 9ers he can have the same success that Purdy has and I think he has even better physical tools. So why not take a 4th round flier on him?

Idk I just think at this point even if Geno is resigned they have to start drafting and taking chances on guys. Cannot just go draft after draft and at least not take late round fliers at the bare minimum on the QB position, it's too important.

  8. Go hawks and go Geno. As in, go, the doors that way. I actually like Geno as a QB, but, like Pete, it’s just time. Start the new OC with a new QB

  9. I really like will Howard. I thought in tough gotta have it moments, I thought he got the job done and showed extreme toughness and grit. Thanks for the content rob!

  10. I am warming up to Kubz as our OC, yes the Center needs to be addressed and if you think about it. the Saints QB were under Center more the Geno was. That makes a big diffence when you select your Center. Think they might steal a Center from the Saints to help with that transition. The use of a full back to is another thing to think about.
