They have been missing this…

They have been missing this… “Missed Nets, Big Hits, and Frustrating Finish” šŸ’ The Ducks battled hard but came up short in a 3-2 OT loss to the Sabres. Helleson had a standout game, Gudas brought the physicality, and the Ducks’ defense had strong moments, but missed chances—like three wide-open nets—cost them big. The team showed flashes of brilliance, but poor execution in the final minutes and overtime sealed their fate. Frustrating? Absolutely. Let’s talk about what went right, what went wrong, and what needs to change before facing the Kraken. Share your thoughts below! šŸ‘‡ #nhl #anaheimducks #buffalosabres #hockey

  1. The veterans are seriously dragging the team down. Cronin continues to put out lines that puts the ducks in a shitty position… jfc….bring in someone new, we’ve had enough!!

  2. Is there some kind of top down agenda where the players are required to pass the puck instead of shoot? Good grief this game was infuriating

  3. Killorn producing just enough offense to stay on that line drives me crazy, so many plays die on his stick and you're right.. Cronin definitely threw with those OT line combos.

  4. Thanks for mentioning Frankie getting extra lazy leaving the Ducks shorthanded. Not sure why Gibson didn’t get up either and decided to scoot on his backside.

On the plus side it’s evident that there are better replacement players than Killorn and Fowler. That is a good thing.

  5. If we are going to keep Killorn, get him off the line with Z and Leo. I just don’t think the value of a veteran is worth the damage he does on that line. They are just missing chemistry.

  6. Tough way to get one point, but they got one. Should've been 2 pointa. I see improvment in 11 lately. I don't want to see 4 back in orange.

  7. Faith !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They played a great game just a few mishaps but they’re getting there !

  8. i dont remember the last time i see a goal we allowed and i would say "gibby or dosty should had made the play". those 2 had been solid every game. the "could be goals" from frank and alex are just starting to pile up…..i wonder if cutter is in those spots could he score more? oh well im not a coach iono what im talking about

  9. You give Killorn a really hard time … for as active as is, he’s not a bad player … he’s actually pretty good … people make mistakes … he’s definitely solid for the ducks ā¤

  10. Great review – spot on! This was a welled played game by the Ducks. A game they should have won. Cronin didn’t coach over time right. Bad decision coach…need to have the right 3 out there to control the puck and score. The team is playing better together. Helleson is impressive and plays smart. I love how he plays the man and not watches the puck! Vatrano is not the same player as last year…he needs his confidence back. Hope we stick with how we played most of this game and make better coaching decisions next overtime. Go Ducks!

  11. vatrano back to mediocrity. i was waiting for him to come back to his standards all season last year. he didnt, but seems worse than usual now.
Don't really deserve to win when you miss 5+ grade A chances / EN
Cronin has got to go. Cutter has been 3rd line all year.

  12. I consider this game a missed opportunity. Ducks didn't play badly, but with the way the game was going (2:0 lead, another missed scoring chances by Vatrano etc.), they should have finished it off with a win. Missed chances and unnecessary mistakes cost us an extra point and because of that, we are still not over five hundred.

  13. Instead of doing the simple thing by shooting the puck and crashing the net, they always make a bunch of unnecessary passes that usually end up as turnovers. Cronin is coaching this team like he's behind the bench during All Star Weekend instead of coaching the team he actually has. Very frustrating to watch because by always deferring to the pretty play or the complex play, he's robbing the young players of trying to take advantage of the simple opportunities that they're getting. I also don't understand the powerplay and why Clune is the guy trusted to run it. How is Mason McTavish leading the team in average power play time per game right now with almost a minute more than Zegras? I think the Ducks roster isn't as bad as Cronin and his coaching staff is making them look. And lastly, while I am on a rant here, Verbeek's tenure so far has been trying to draft his way into the playoffs. At a certain point, you need to add high caliber players via free agency — but the only reason Verbeek signs anyone in free agency is so he can flip that player later for more draft picks. He's not building a roster — he's just drafting into oblivion.

  14. The boys looked good that game. For whatever reason, Killorn and Vatrano are just sucking. Sending Harkins is mistake. They should keep him and send down Killorn. We need someone matching the speed of everyone else on the lines. Missing as much as he has is embarrassing. Let's see what comes of tonight.

  15. Man, this hurt. The worst way to lose a game is how we lost this one. We tried and battled hard, but it just wasn't there. You need all 4 lines AND the goalie to win games and I saw a lot to like and some mistakes. Sometimes it all just isn't on a team's side- behold the once Mighty Ducks Of Anaheim.

  16. If all ducks fans have your attitude and disdain for all of your players and the organization, no wonder why they aren’t very good. You should try being positive. Learn some hockey before you make garbage like this.
