Despite the hatred of the Wings that carries over from the 90s, I hate to see any fan base to have to deal with extended losing teams. More when a team cant seem to make the playoffs but also cant draft out of the hole. Wings have some good pieces but still seem to lack the high end guys needed to put them back to being a top team. Since im not a Wings fan, i dont want to judge Yzerman but it sure seems like it hasnt gone the way everyone thought it would. I honestly wonder, how much longer will Detroit put up with this team not taking the next step of becoming a contender
a little over cooked don't you think? been in the oven for 5 years and counting.
The goaltending wasn't outstanding, but a few of the goals were high percentage scoring chances. Point and Paul had breakaways, and another was due to the defense not clearing a rebound. Definitely a couple softies were let in by Lyon and Talbot, but the defense has to be all 6 guys on the ice. Feels like a bump in the road, and I expect the Wings to come back swinging against Minnesota in a few weeks.
The yzerplan was always draft centric. Im not saying its here in full effect yet, but we are starting to see the good drafting take hold even a low pick seemingly turning out. Hes definitely had mixed success on free agency at best with the wings. The important part of the wings future is the draft picks taking hold of the team. Raymond, Kasper, Seider, Ed, Aljo, and now even soda being the foundation of this current team, and our pipeline still looks good. Lets still give credit on kitty cat and kane turning out to be our more productive players as well.
GO RED WINGS! All you clowns that said fire YZ 3 months back. You sell outs need to leave RED WINGS NATION now.
If Steve Y doesn't do anything at trade deadline to help this team he should be fired.
Yzerplan has already failed even if they make the playoffs (which they won't). The amount of terrible signings and trades he has made has put them back many years
Detroit needs a goalie .
Talbot needs to practice
I love the wings..most of the time but they're not ready. If they happen to make it to playoffs I think they'll go out first round. I hope for the best but …
Talbot not consistent and sometimes Lyons struggles wings need a goalie
red wings are trash 😂
