  1. I'll never forget how Carey Price and Shea Weber carried this team on their backs in the 2021 run. They made us Habs fans believe we actually had a chance to win it all, the 4-1 lost against Tampa must've been soul crushing for them

  2. Habs wasted a great career. Price should be a Hall of Famer. The team in front of him was never better than mediocre

  3. Both Tuukka Rask and Carey Price were taken from us early due to injuries. Both are 37 and could be the starter for the Bruins and Canadiens, yet have both been out for at least 3 seasons now.

  4. imo, the mental struggles he had to deal with during his career make it even more admirable + he was a very impactful athlete for indigenous youth, and notably outspoken about the canadian residential school horrors

  5. I saw him make his professional debut in the '07 Calder cup playoffs. Playing for Montreal's AHL affiliate Hamilton Bull dogs, he stonewalled the cup favorites Chicago Wolves. I couldn't believe this kid was that good but he was. From the juniors to the AHL playoffs to the NHL. Ever since that day I've been a fan of Price, sorry he didn't win a cup and that his career is over.

  6. I keep saying Price is the best goalie the habs have ever had. People keep throwing Dryden at me in rebuttal. My answer to that is, Dryden played on a team with 9 other Hall of Fame players, Price. did it with maybe 1 (Markov then Weber). His legendary 14-15 season, Dale Weise was 8th in scoring for the Habs. Imagine if he'd ever had a half decent team in front of him.

  7. That Kovalev was the only player on his team to hit 80 points in his whole career. And in his rookie season to boot.

  8. 2015 – Price having an out of the universe season. Get him some goal support? Bergevin got him: Bryan Flynn, Torey Mitchell and Devante Smith Pelly.

  9. Should NOT have traded Huet in '08. Should have tandem'd him and Price, but I guess we really needed that 2nd round draft pick from Washington (in case we lost Huet for nothing later).

  10. The interesting question is not if he is a first ballot HOF (has to be) but if his jersey will be retired by MTL

  11. Price was great, it is really unfortunate that injuries limited his career. I would think 1st ballot hall-of-famer for sure. Shame he never got to hoist the Cup.

  12. Price was such an interesting goalie to watch play. He was just always so calm and controlled in the crease. Even when he branched out and would do something different, it looked like he was completely in control and had totally planned doing a pad stacker or whatever.

  13. When Tuukka Rask and Chris Osgood get into the Hall of Fame we can give Price some consideration…until then..No. And Price didn't need protection in the expansion draft….his Cetacean contract took care of any ideas of claiming him.😊

  14. Speaking of goalies HoF chances, do you think Chris Osgood should be in there? I'm a Wings fan, and I 100% think he should be, but I'm aware of my own bias in the matter.
