Love the content as usual! I think scenario 1 would be my option because I want more experience for the GM and HC jobs. Love the free agent signings but I would try to add Tutu Atwell and maybe a Greg Dortch for more receiver depth. I would also target WR Tez Johnson and maybe a QB like Jaxson Dart or Kyle McCord. I just have a good feeling about those guys. But overall great job and I would love any of these moves for our team
I am not comfortable with an oc that doesnโt come with a playbook????

In my opinion the Jets have to draft Mason Graham or if we let go of Devante Adams then draft Tetairoa McMillan who is by far the best WR in the draft. Iโve never seen a WR his height move the way he does, not comparing him to Megatron but he has the size of a Calvin Johnson but more shifty

We been in mock season since October!
I donโt necessarily hate your draft, but I do disagree with you on a few things. We need to keep Davante Adams! Between him and Rodgers it would be too big of cap hit . We already have a great WR in Wilson. Having another #1 WR in Davante Adams, guarantees us at least two wins, no matter who the QB is, plus the worse comes the worse you could trade him at the trade deadline for some draft capital. Having Adams means we donโt have to use our first round pick for a WR, when we have much bigger needs.
Ryan, DT Mason Graham, has to be the player we take @ #7! We really have three options, if one is gone, we should have the option of the other two . Those three players are in this order, DT Mason Graham, OT Kelvin Banks Jr & OT Will Campbell.
We have not picked a defensive lineman in the first round in the last six years and it has shown with the way our defense played this year. We have to fix this Dline, and getting a cheap all pro prospect like Mason Graham will change this defense and thatโs worth four to six wins for this team. Plus, Mason is a guarantee, in case Williams gets hurt.
Taking one of the other two tackles would just completely fix this offensive line once and for all for whoever is the quarterback in 2025 and beyond. Those two are the top two OT prospects, because they are both great pass protectors and road maulers in the run game. Iโm tired of this offensive line merry-go-round we have had since 2013, itโs time to fix this line once and for all.
I understand your desire for more offense, but if we canโt get the ball to our playmakers because our QB is on his ass, it doesnโt matter and weโve seen this for the last 15 years where the NYJs are concerned. We saw it in the Chargers vs Vikings playoff game.
The successful blueprint has already been written, so why change it? The New York Jets have gotten away from what made us great. Itโs football 101 fix the offensive line and the defensive line so you can get to the quarterback, stop the run, protect the quarterback, open lanes for the running back. Football is easy we make it difficult. LAโs Dline dominated and Minnesotaโs Oline was crushed.
I knew you were gonna do something crazy ๐ฎ๐ฎ๐ฎ with the draft and take a damn WR with the first pick, when itโs the Dline that was in complete disarray and we couldnโt stop the run to save our lives. To me the better option is TCU WR Savion Williams, 6โ4, 235lbs, 4.55 40yrd dash. With very good hands and makes amazing acrobatic catches, heโs a player that should be there for us when we pick in the 2nd rd.
Iโm all for moving back up into round 2 or 3 and grabbing either an OT if we get Graham in the first round, or the DT you mentioned if we get OT Banks or Campbell in the 1st rd. This is adraft class that is deep in TEโs so we could get it tighten in the fourth round.. if not, we should have enough fire power between GW, DA, MC, JR, BH to win some games.
Obviously you were too young to see the NYJs of the 1980s if you were able to watch the Vikings versus the Chargers, what you saw was what the 1980 jets used to do. Our defense won us games because they dominated the Line scrimmage and they got to the QB, hence the title โ New York SACK EXCHANGEโ!
Love everything about this plan with the exception of Jedrick Wills. He's an injury prone player the Jets don't need.

HC – Mike McCarthy
DC – Jarod Mayo
OC – Josh Mccown
Keep Rodgers and Devante in restructured deals to run it back. Resign Sherwood if the number is right. Sign Reddick on a low salary with high incentives. Try to sign safety Jevon Holland. Extend Garett Wilson and maybe Jermaine Johnson in team friendly deal due to injury or breece also if they can get the number right. But draft DT Mason Graham to make the front 7 one of the best in the league or CB Will Johnson to replace DJ Reed. AVT is an extension option but he is always hurt. Iโll add maybe a third day draft of Milroe because I think he may slip you can let him and Jordan Travis practice around Aaron one could end up the scout team guy other emergency quarterback. I think this team could win enough games and get to the playoffs.
Ryan penalties didnโt kill this team this year the lack of a defensive line being able to stop the run or get to the quarterback, killed us. It put us in a bind because we couldnโt stop the other team from scoring. That forced us to have to pass which allowed their defense to just go ham on the pass rush. With an aging QB coming off of Achilles injury who could not run, it was a recipe for disaster. Add in the fact that we had all online injuries and we get the season we had. We have to fix the Dline.. no matter what you think that has to be to play. We stopped the other teamโs offense. We stay in the game. The devil is in the details and we lost by more than a few points because we couldnโt stop the run.
Ryanโฆ. You set it yourself when the Jets had a pass rush the two cornerbacks that held down a potent Eagles offense, were Echols and Hall. So I donโt understand how you donโt realize how important getting to the quarterback is and stopping the run. DT Mason Graham and Quinnen Williams would be an unstoppable force of the middle. The double teams that they would force would keep the small but quick Quincy, Williams and Sherman clean to come up and stop the run. It also takes pressure off the defensive backs. Letโs be real Sauce Gardner ainโt what we thought he was. He is not a shut down CB, and needs as much help as possible.
With Anderson and Johnson speed causing hell for Left and Right Tackles our CB will not need to cover for more 5 secondsโฆ AND THAT WINS GAMES.
A name Iโd be looking at in the mid to late rounds is Catalon, the safety from UNLV. Dude was pretty much a first round lock before injuries dropped him. Could be a nice steal as a dart throw.
i just think that in this years draft defense should be the way to go either CB or pass rusher in the 1st round.
lets go GLENN i also love us not drafting a QB but getting one the FA QBs im really big on us getting Lance or Justin i think they will be cheap and can maybe even give them a 2-3 year deal hopefully JT will be more than healthy or we draft a QB

I absolutely LOVE the players you selected and this would be a great strategy going into next year. Setting up the future quarterback to come in and have a talented offense and allowing the fromt office and coaches to hand select players that fit the scheme and get the most out of them.
Love these scenarios. JJ did make the Pro Bowl his second year though.
I think Salah was too soft on the players..He was known as a 'players" coach… They need some hard asses to get them to understand losing for so long is NOT acceptable…
