GAME RECAP: Penguins at Flyers (02.08.25) | Hayes Backhands 10th Goal of the Season



The Penguins fell to the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 on Saturday at the Wells Fargo Center despite Kevin Hayes netting his 10th goal of the season on a second-period backhand. The Penguins also got a goal from Erik Karlsson, but the Flyers used goals from Scott Laughton, Garnet Hathaway and Travis Konecny to take the metro matchup.

  1. Well kids, is the team playing better without Jarry? funny comments that the game was not bad))) Not a bad game, not a bad coach, not bad players on the team, not bad, didn’t make it to the playoff, good 26th place in the league….

  2. That was a patchwork Penguin team last night missing stars & role players limping into the break that need some obvious rest. And that 2nd Flyer goal on Blomqvist was rather cringeworthy.😬

  3. If we were as fast as we were the rest of the game maybe we dont allow the first goal on the first shot for the 50th time lol. Also really unlucky ego play on the one Blomqvist clear attempt hopefully he quickly learns correcting that without overthinking. Aside from those 2 moments the Pens owned this game. Thats how it goes sometimes. Take what you can from it and dont let it go again.
