There are a lot of factors here. You have to give up something to get something. Would we be willing to give up say a first and a third for a 30s ish, big, physical, sound 2 way center who chips in with an occasional goal? We get outhit in a number of games. Against Philly it was 25-9. I would like to add a player (probably a forward) who hits more who also stands up for teammates when needed which would take some burden off of Wilson. There is also the question of salary taken on. I don't know what they are willing to pay Chychrun but that has an impact too. If a team was really desperate for a goalie who had a player who would fit in well here, would we be willing to move Lindgren as part of a deal? I can't get specific as to who we should go after as I don't know other teams that well or who's available.
As to LT and Cassidy, Cassidy also had some bad history when he was coach of the Caps. I think it was about comments about Olie Kolzig and his son who is autistic. I don't know if that would be a carryover or not though LT will be more rested than if he played. Maybe being snubbed will light a fire on him. I have no interest in 4 Nations and see it basically as a waste of time.

I would be comfortable going into the playoffs with this exact roster if you told me that there was a guarantee for no injuries down the line, but I just don't see that as a reality with how healthy the team has stayed all year already, I would make moves based on the factor of potential injuries alone
