even back when people like Peter Brock,, Frank Matich, Colin Bond, Frank Gardner, The Geoghegans, Moffat and Kevin Bartlett Jim Richards and stacks of others Aussies and Kiwis could have killed it in America in Indy, Daytona , Sebring but stayed in Australia, had kids bought homes and stayed here and raced and made a good living.

Very misleading. He was not close to the record qualifying record of Ari Luyendyk's speed. He qualified under the old format on day 2, so was not eligable for the pole.

I always considered he would be unstoppable even when he was driving the Volvo's I thought there is something special about this young fella and I just watched that tremendous run. Go Scotty that was amazing he can do great in this style of racing.
