  2. Beliveau, c'mon. anyway Lafleur's high-point of his career coincided with my high school years. Great time to be French Canadian.

  3. As a teen in the 70s, I was a huge Habs fan and Lafleur was THE MAN. After his first retirement 1985, I met him during one of his charity golf tournaments at a resort north of Montreal. I was in a sales meeting there and I had heard Lafleur was there too for a golf tournament. Late evening, when I was chatting with my colleagues at the resort bar, one of them said "look behind you". Lafleur was sitting with his friends from television. It was like seeing a ghost. It was past last call but we had an open bar so I walked up to his table and asked them if they wanted another round of beers. Lafleur said yes, stood up, thanked me and shook my hand. I was surprised at the large size of his hand (I've since met another fan who shook his hand and had the same reaction). I told Lafleur that since his retirement, I had lost a lot of interest in hockey. He thanked me and I went on my way. I didn't want to bother him with an autograph or photo. I just wanted to thank him for all the thrills. I found it impressive that he would stand up to shake my hand. After all, he had had thousands of fans come up to him through the years. But that was Guy Lafleur. His fans meant a lot to him and he gave a lot in return. A great man in the true sense of the word. Its a real shame the way he was treated by the Habs in his late career. Still makes my blood boil when I think of it. Another player of that era who that had that much talent and class in one body was Bobby Orr.

  4. If were to have a Habs jersey in 2025? It would absolutely be Guy Lafleur! Lets go classic over what ever kids we have these days that have proven nothing.

  5. can you guys not get a human being to narrate that knows how to pronounce these legends names. really ????

  6. You should recycle yourself into a silent dude. Have you ever seen the hands of Guy Lafleur? He had hands of a lumberjack. 6' tall and 195 pounds, he was more than average. Your documentary sucks

  7. In your narration you invent stories of your own, like Lafleur was playing on pond in Thurso. No he was playing outside on a regular ice rink

  8. The whole team in 70s seemed to have chemistry.
So many solid, competitive players, as in 60s and 50s even.
It was the most successful franchise in sports.
Winning half the championships almost in those decennies.

  9. You could only admire this man along with his teammates as they were so dominant on the ice. As a Toronto maple leaf fan they were hard to watch as their dominance took over on the ice (Montreal) that is.

  10. God man it’s almost an insult to those great players that you can’t pronounce there name properly Jean Béliveau, Maurice Richard(Le Rocket), Guy Lafleur( Le Démon Blond)

  11. Montreal fans help jog my memory! Was Jacques Lemaire the coach of Montreal when Guy retired? I seem to remember that Jacques installing a more center to back ice approach that was comparable to the way Lafleur played his game. It would be like telling Bobby Orr not to take chances and stay back on defense. Even if true, we can’t be to hard on Lemaire as his style did win Montreal a Cup in 1986….

  12. I remember seeing him in his late years in Winnipeg, every time he touched the puck the crowd would go Guuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuy until he let go of it. Magical

  13. 1976, the game with my team CSKA, which was strengthened by Dynamo stars, technically the USSR team. At that game I became a fan of Guy Lafleur. It’s was just incredible to watch. I was 13 at the time.
