That was a breath of fresh air hearing Larks this time. For so long he seemed utterly defeated. Different tone in his voice. More light in his eyes. Really good to see. Thank you Todd and Trent!
if they are going to bury Kane unfairly on the 3rd line behind Tarasenko, playing w random Grand Rapids scrubs, after he carried the team into WC contention by himself w weeks of dominant play 5v5 and on the power play, they should man up and have the honor to offer him a trade. obviously the coach has an issue with Kane personally and doesn't like his play style. he was just waiting for any bad moment on defense or cooling off to justify burying him as he wanted to probably from the first minute he saw him. that's fine. trade him then. he's got better things to do than put up game after game of 0 points and being dominated in the analytics just like it was under Lalonde. for weeks he put up dominant analytics and dominant scoring numbers. but that wasn't enough for Todd. so trade him.
There would have been 1/2 the excitement now if 88 didn’t carry them through the first 7;game winning streak ! All of sudden him and 93 forgot how to play together! Absolutely ridiculous! Putting on lines so he can Handle the puck ! 11 can’t even hit the net ! Todd probably was sick he scored that winner in the shootout!
4 nations is a garbage idea. Middle of season during playoff push, excludes Russian, German, and many other great players. Whoever's idea this was needs to be fired for the timing alone. NHL has been talking about how they need to expand the game to other areas, but they start a new exclusionary tournament that does the opposite… If I was a coach, player, or team manager I would be furious by this meaningless tournament. Can only hope there's no injuries. I'd rather watch badminton and give the players an actual needed break. IMO they created this 4 nations for the SOLE REASON to create anything they could exclude Russia from. Terrible.
