J.T. MILLER TRIBUTE (by frostbitefilms):
https://x.com/frostbitefilmss/status/1886139845954916738

In this video, the J.T. Miller era in Vancouver officially comes to an end. The Canucks send Miller, Erik Brännström, and prospect Jackson Dorrington to the Rangers for Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, and a top-13-protected first-round pick… but that’s not all. That pick was flipped alongside Danton Heinen, Vincent Desharnais, and prospect Melvin Fernström to bring in Marcus “MP3” Pettersson and Drew O’Connor. So when the dust settled, Vancouver moved five players and a pick, gaining a shutdown defenseman, a versatile forward, a speedy two-way presence, a big-bodied prospect, and cap space. Not bad, right?

I break down the trade, introduce the new guys, and—of course—cover the Canucks’ last four games, including J.T. Miller’s final one in blue and green.

Game 50 against the Predators saw Big Hög change lives, Tyler Myers play like a Norris candidate, and Vancouver come away with a 3-1 win. Game 51 against the Stars? Chaos. Tocchet pulled the goalie twice, and both times, Dallas immediately scored. Oh, and Quinn Hughes got injured, so that’s fun. Then, in Game 52, the new-look Canucks took the ice against the Red Wings, with Filip Chytil and Drew O’Connor making strong first impressions, MP3 holding it down defensively, and Vancouver losing yet another 3-on-3 overtime.

And finally, Game 53 against Nathan MacKinnon and the Avalanche was a statement. Thatcher Demko reminded everyone why he’s that guy with a rock-solid performance, and it was a coming-out party for D-Petey, who looked more and more like a future star on the Canucks’ blue line.

Buckle up—this one’s got trades, emotions, and me screaming about Quinn Hughes.

  1. As a rangers fan I actually hate that we traded Mancini. Like that shit pissed me off. Love miller though so I guess it was worth it. Never should’ve traded him to Tampa to begin with though.

  2. Not having a 1C is tough. Running a 3C-3C-3C-4C down the middle is extra tough. But I agree with the trade. Hopefully we draft a stud in the draft or get a big boy UFA in the summer. If we can get rid of Peter’s contract before the deadline, next year is going to be 🔥🔥 should try and get Buffalo’s unprotected 1st for Peter if possible.

  3. surprised you didnt highlight that thatcher the snatcher moment against Colorado where he made like 5 glove saves in 2 minutes

  4. One week now, my thoughts are, man, he's gone and we probably won't see JT in a canucks jersey anymore. Kinda sad 😔
But i think these two trades were helpful for the current situation. Thank you Millsy, hope he's gonna have a good time in Manhatten.

But it's great to see already the fruits from these trades. I loved the game against Colorado. Now add consistency and then: THE VANCOUVER CANUCKS ARE GOOD
