  1. Kraken fan here, this was the first game I’ve been to that the opposing team’s jerseys nearly outnumbered the Kraken’s! Really enjoyed the competing “go leafs go” “let’s go kraken” chants 😅

  2. I really think this is the first time the leafs played Seattle at 10:00 pm the NHL usually has this as a weekend matinee calm down about late starts bro

  3. Hi Steve, another great vid. Yes, I stayed up. I really like Stolarz play and wanted to see his return. You can feel the confidence. You never watched Buffalo Sabres' games with Dominic Hasek? His work in net was art in progress…shooters could rarely predict what he would do. He'd flop around, spin, challenge, bait the shooter, move his feet phenomenally fast and windmill his legs through the air when on his back, making impossible saves. And win Stanley Cups. Sure, there was training and discipline there, but his work was creative and inventive as well as pure athleticism. I've played net in rec hockey, on and off my whole life, but am most effective as a highly mobile D. In tourneys I play a shut down 2-way winger because I'm only 175 lbs, and defence wins tournaments. So when I play net, I just make it all up as I go, knowing exactly (most times) where the puck will be and who will shoot because of the way the game is mapped into my brain. And that is what the best goalies do. They have the training and then they have the physical invention and "goalie creativity".

  4. The stats say the Leafs won 52.5% of the face offs, but it seemed like Seattle was winning the majority of them and then had the puck most of the game (thank you team defence).

  5. In regard to missed penalties, you also forgot the very obvious slash from Knies breaking the Seattle players stick in the 3rd.

  6. 10pm Toronto time start a problem, you should try following the leafs from the UK, it was 3am here!
Enjoyed the highlights this morning and catching this episode this afternoon. Thanks for s great show as always Steve!

  7. You can bitch about the time zone, but as a western Canadian leafs fan the fact that I can't watch the game on TSN in my own prime time is the real problem. But in Ontario you can watch it at midnight!
    Sort it out, NHL!

  8. Stolarz is BACK baby. The broadcast mentioned that he was able to take his time recovering because Woll was so solid. It's so comfoeting to have a strong tandem. Is this real life?!

Also: Iggy is owed a Victory Treat, yes we're keeping track 🧐

  9. I live 4 hrs from edm. Most oilers games start time before this year was 9 or 930 my time. Then the start is actually 15min after the stated start time sometimes because we have to wait for the earlier game to finish. Get bent steve, get bent.

  10. Montour didnt embellish though. While he knew it was his stick, its still a stick to the face. Is he supposed to just not react to pain? I dont even think guys who flinch at a near miss deserve a fine, we'd all flinch too. Its the guys who dont get hit but still grab at their face like they did, that need to be fined and suspended if they keep doing it.

  11. #51 gave my son his game stick after they won in overtime he was on the ice with marlies then was super nice came back out to sign the stick for my son

  12. I tried so hard to watch this game. Im positive i saw the puck drop but i couldn't tell you who was playing and I definitely blinked and it was 2:30 😅

  13. Staff Sergeant Hawkins here, as a Kraken Tank Commander I just want to extend a warm thanks to the Leafs for their contributions to our Tank efforts. You're making a bright future possible 🫡

  14. Nylander and Domi looked awful on their wrong wings. It is really difficult to get passes in your own end when you are a long the boards in the defensive zone. I don't blame either player but it makes no sense to me to have two wingers on their wrong side at the same time.

  15. With the copious amounts of Hockey information you know, I find it hard to believe that you don’t know the names of the Goalie movements. 😂 “That weird little shimmy thing” is called a shuffle. It’s used for small movements that allow the goalie to stay squared to the puck while maintaining the right angle. The “hah-CHA, hah-CHA” is probably the T-Push which is usually used for travelling larger distances in the crease while still standing and maintaining a ready position. Hope this helps

  16. Agent says to Treliving "because you didn't negotiate upgrading his contract for more deserving money, Bobby won't be resigning for with the Leafs." Can you see that happening?

  17. Being a night owl, I go to bed late every night so the 10 pm start didn’t bother me. I can sleep in. Love the Leafs!
The joys of being a retired granny. 😊

  18. i'd noticed, every game, stolarz was gone cuz woll tries hard but still lets in 3. need a guy who keeps it to 2 or less.
