  1. They can really build some great depth here. But they should do everything they can do try to win for the next 3-4 years. This is our chance at a dynasty

  2. Really like Murat’s take because he never comes out and declares ‘Chevy needs to do this or they’re not going to win’. He is smart enough to know the unpredictability of the NHL by now. Statsny was easily their best deadline acquisition but so many others have been average at best. It’s a real gamble and if I had to at this point I would be going with depth moves. Blueline-wise there isn’t a lot out there and the centre position isn’t much better

  3. They could do shopping all 1 place
    Mcann or Schwartz+Oleksiak
    RyanStrome+Dumoulin
    Zacha+Carlo
    Dach+Savard
    Laughton+Ristolainen

With Cap going up some previous maybe thought to be overpays won't be anymore. I don't want unless cheap rental get guys with term.
I think Ehlers and Pionk are going get 7-8m Free agency. Iafallos 4.1m,Appleton 2.2m,Pionk 6m,Ehlers 6m,Namestnikov 2m come off books.
They are talking Chychrun might get 7.5m-8m.

    Ristolainen-5.1m 3yrs after this
    Parayko- 6.5m 5yrs
    Sanheim- 6.25m 6yrs
    Pulock- 6.1m 5yrs
    Cozens- 7.1m 5yrs
    Horvat- 8.5m 6yrs
    Barzal- 9.1m 6yrs
    Mcann- 5m 2yrs
    Schwartz- 1yr this and next
BraydenSchenn- 6.5m 3yrs bad deal teams would probably have to overpay and retain.
    ORielly- 4.5m 2yrs
    Zacha- 4.7m 2yrs
    Strome- 5m 2yrs
Dach- injuries prone and bad team. Still only 24yrs RFA. 1yr left at 3.3m
Laughton- this year and next at 3m
    Bertuzzi- 5.5m 3yrs
    Teravainen- 5.4m 2yrs
Byram- RFA this year only 23yrs old turning 24. Currently 3.8m
Eberle- this year and next 4.7m
    Bjorkstrand- 5.4m 2yrs

    As for UFA
    Dumoulin,Savard,Nyquist,Geekie,Armia.

Jets core is aging give them best chance to compete worry about rebuilding later. If have to spend picks or trade prospects do it.
    Scheifele is 31yrs
    Hellebuyck 31yrs
    Lowry 31yrs
    Morrissey 29yrs
Connor 28yrs*he will be up in 2yrs and be highest paid Jet if remains. Getting cheap deals like above and cap going up maybe like playoff teams do ELC/Budget UFA like toews can help.
