  1. Watching highlights… I saw a lot of downlow goals…you have to make sure whoever is in net sees the puck or shot. CLEAR THE MIDDLE OUT make teams shoot from OUTSIDE..but just another off night it's all good tho.

  2. Maybe I'm biased but I almost feel like the Sens respected Tampa too much in this 2 game mini series and got away from their own game to try and play Tampa's game and I didn't like that. Injuries aren't an excuse and there's no reason why they couldn't have come away with 2/4pts minimum from these 2 games they just looked off and it really wasn't a good performance either night and their finishing was horrendous again really disappointed and if they go into the break with 3 losses in a row against divisional opponents idk I hope it doesn't happen but I don't like the thought of that occuring. It's like they were just gifting Tampa the lead over and over in these 2 games you really hate to see the roadtrip start to slide off this way

  3. Reset the wildcard race. Its gonna be a wildcard shootout from 4 Nations right up until the last game. Strap in boys its gonna get crazy.

  4. The foreshadowing for how they would play at the end of the game 6v5 was the two minutes it took them to get a zone entry on the delayed penalty at the start of the game.

I get that PP1 needs the big minutes practice and if they don’t figure it out then there is no play-off run; no one wins the cup with their top 6 not scoring. And yea, they’ve played the hard seasons and have earned their spots so they get to try 1:30 out of every 2 minutes but it's wild that they play like they can’t be moved off of it. Like I don’t think it’s good for the players if there isn’t some threat of being bumped to PP2 if you’re not producing for the team. We get these games like the Wild one where suddenly PP1 gets 3 goals in a game they had already won and it’s like, sick, maybe they’ve snapped their bad streak but it’s so tough as a fan watching the same thing over and over and never seeing anything change. Norris’ whole game turned around when he got bumped – what would happen if someone like Brady or Stu got shuffled to PP2 if their line went 0/5?

5 out of the last 7 losses (Jan 7th – Feb 7th) would have been won or tied if the PP had scored once during those games (Sens had 14 PP chances they didn’t score on in those 5). I know we all know that the PP has been bad for months but it’s probably the last winning detail. A 35% PP is unrealistic when the Jets have a 33% but it would be strong enough to buy back all but 2 of our losses in the last 17 games so even just a better PP, like say Detroit's, would have us 2nd in the Atlantic right now.

I liked seeing the Sens try some more set plays based on their recent success, a la Reinhardt screen, and Amadio had a stand out game. Green said the team had their chances tonight, like he always does in these losses, and like you guys I agreed with everything he said in the postgame. I don’t hang this loss, or yesterdays, on one guy or one thing but a 5% bump in our PP% would be huge and I can’t stress that enough.

  5. Jack, I think you need to calm down talking about playoffs. How about we just get to the playoffs and not talk about how we would match up against these types of teams

Getting to the playoffs should be number one focus

  6. I don't know if it's only me but I think that Timmy is always full spin. He could calm down a little bit and use his phenomenal speed on special occasions. I watch players like Pastrnak and Kucherov and they are not always full speed. He has the ability to handle and pass the puck like these two. Like someone said "hurry up
    slowly".
