Hartman clearly needs the heavy punishment. He lied and laughed about what he did, no remorse. Scumbag.
Not sure how he goes through all those teams and barely mentions Detroit as if they have no chance
I think the Sabres love rebuilding because every year, they trade away many of their best players. Why not allow the team to develop?
Hartman is probably looking for financial relief of the suspension more than anything. The 10 games is significant but the loss of income is way over the top, history or no history. Dirty play yes, worth half million in salary, no.
Buffalo will want a center back in a cousin's deal. I see this deal being multi player if it happens at all. Nies for Cousins makes no sense for Buffalo. Van sending Petty, Soucy and a pick/prospect to Buffalo for Cousins, Benson and Powers makes more sense for both sides but as a Canuck fan something like that would surprise me. Cousins potential is unproven to date.
I would trade Easton Cowan and Domi for Cozens.
If the Blackhawks aren’t aggresively pursuing Cousins then they are missing out… just like they did with Kaako

Hopefully Crosby can make it to the tournament. Bad enough he's already ending his career being one of the best players in the league on a losing team, knowing they're all getting raises when you retire lol brutal
personally i think it is irresponsible for quinn to participate in a mean nothing tournament with the potential to aggravate his injury and be lost to his team for a prolonged period of time. if he stays out, that gap in the schedule would give him the opportunity to properly rehab.
This tourney is a farce. NHL ratings are so bad, they just need this to save face

Cozens is just praying to leave Buffalo.
When I saw the Maple leafs win a Stanley Cup in 1967 I never expected in my wildest dreams to wait now to win a cup. Beginning in the 1970s with the leafs playing on cowboy Bill Flett andDan Maloney , I have seen constant promises of cup wins. I now have one rule and that is never never never trade away a first round draft choice or a first round draft pick the Maple leafs have the ability and the money to toss at these choice to make them first rate NHL players. I expect leafs would’ve won two or three Stanley Cup at least since 1967 if we had simply kept the draft choices and draft picks I would do as much as I could to accumulate first round draft picks, and that would be my soul philosophy going forward. For when I see Kyle do this trade away our first round draft choices, and future expectations are promises made on the back of trading away. Our first round draft choice, I quiver just keep your draft choices and develop from within if you need more bodies for the playoff and bring them along from the minors and pay the cost we are trading the present for the future and there is no present worth doing that. It will simply lead to continue disasters.
Hartman might have a case simply because the time its going to take to have him miss 10 games. The Wild have 6 more games this month he's missing all the way till March.
Coming from a Bruins fan, Cozens is not worth anywhere near Matthew Knies. Knies is younger and on pace for 30 goals this year. Cozens is on pace for 40 points for the third time in his career and makes $7M a year until 2030. There's a ton of acquisition risk here for whoever trades for him. Decent chance here that 68 point season is an outlier as opposed to what he is.
There's a selfish and sizeable part of me as a Canucks fan that wants Quinn to sit this one out and be healthy for the stretch run. Also would help Team Canada…
10 games was mild. But like Chris says, Hartman has every reason to try appealing.

Buffalo shouldn't panic. No big trades. They are a young team with 15 roster players 25 or under. They 100% should not trade for an over paid "elite" player..
