We have more then enough defenceman, let's work on the forwards where it needs a lot of improvement.
nah byram not worth it. we should keep evans and armia (homey is even on the finn team), they'll do very well in playoffs, and everyone knows playoffs are all about dept. just get rid of our liabilities : gally dvo and anderson. and go grab a big UFA(in the likes of rantanen) for playoffs next year with demidov in the lineup. if we can make the playoff this year, itll give more experience to our young core who hasnt seen it yet.

The Habs have been scoring. With all the prospects in the pipeline, Demidov, Hage etc. they need some defensive minded defensemen or a great two way center reminiscent of Danault or Carboneau back in the day. Guhle has been great this year. Been playing way more physical. And I’m very inclined to link the team’s recent struggles to his absence. Matheson is a complete liability and I still argue not worth the offensive production he may provide when you have Hutson. The amount of shots on goal the team gives up on a regular basis needs to be improved… as well as some more discipline with the penalties, especially Dach lately. He’s on pace to obliterate his season high in PIM and a lot of them have been costly.
Cozens looks like a 40pts player at 7M$… no point of getting him!

Frankly, no one mentioned moves the needle for Habs – Byram (need another LD? Not replacing 48 or 21 and not a player like 72, so why?) Cousens – need a Left C not another righty. Dude from Ducks, no thanks. Too small – need more size for playoffs.
