Until a few weeks ago I wanted Pasta traded, big time. His turnovers were stupid and non-stop, trying to dangle around entire teams, and he wasn't nearly putting enough goals on the board to justify his terrible play. There were at least 6 games this season that we lost that were the DIRECT result of a stupid Pasta turnover. However, he has done a complete 180 and something snapped in him, and he is suddenly playing like the superstar that he is supposed to be. I think that being on a line with Geekie has started to build chemistry, and Geekie has become a substantially more effective player during this same stretch as Pasta. There is no way this is coincidence for both of their numbers to skyrocket at the same time. This is why Monty drove me insane He never kept a line together long enough to build chemistry. It was HORRID coaching. Sacco is not a Bruce Cassidy caliber coach by any means, but at least he has the common sense to know this. This is a promising line for next season and it gives me a glimmer of hope that we may actually have a playoff team next year.
