Frost and Farabee will succeed in Calgary simply by being away from Torts. They'll be given the freedom to make mistakes in the o-zone without fear of being benched for half the game
They have said rebuild, and timeline, and build through the draft a million times. Last year they traded walker during a playoff push proving the philosophy
The trade didn't move the needle for me. We dumped salary & traded away 2 young former 1st round picks, under-achieving in the eyes of the coach. We got back 2 young under-achievers that are on expiring contracts & most likely will not re-sign here. So they're nothing more than short-term rentals. Granted there's 2 future draft picks also but it could be another 3-5 years before they show anything.

You' re too emotive Russ dont fall in love with our players, Frost is one of the most fearful player in the NHL and Farabee at 5 millions maybe Too Much, players like Farabee and Frost not very difficult to find 🏒🤷🤔
We traded 2 underachieving 1st rounders for an underachieving 1st rounder and we get a ton of cap relief with Farabee's contract coming off the books plus more draft capital. Is it a great trade? Eh, not really but it makes sense and the return is what Frost and Farabee are worth.
