I can agree with Ebs and Nuge not living up to their salaries, but Hall is the third highest scoring LW in the last five seasons. Not his fault he's always on bad teams.
im not gonna diss ebbs cause he was a classy guy in edmonton and the fans loved him and hopefully him and taverse could have some magic in ny!strome will shine in edmonton
When you put him John Tavares what does he become? We already have the answer – nothing. He didn't do anything on the Hart trophy winner's wing so what do you expect him to do on a lesser center's wing?
Poor Ebs couldn't buy a goal the past few seasons, they had scoring from sooo many guys besides the 6 million line so it makes sense. I'm still sad to see him go, and as with Hall I sincerely hope he hits his stride again and becomes a power house no matter what team he is on.
Not suprised but I am suprised it didn't take long. Everyone knew Eberle was gone after that playoff run. I hope he does better with Tavares and finds a new plateau in his career. I welcome Ryan Strome. Seen what he can do and from what I can tell it's a fair trade plus cap space.
Tbh Vegas should use there picks to get a top 3 player in the draft, they need a solid prospect ecspecially cause the top 5 are rlly only good because this is a bad year for the draft
Good trade for both teams. Eberle had some chemistry with some Tavares in 2009 WJC and for Edmonton it gives us some money to sign Mcdavid, Russell, and Draisaitl
Some Oilers fans trying hard to convince themselves that they won the trade lmao… Value for value they lost both the Hall and Eberle trades…its just it doesn't matter too much because they have Mcdavid and Draisaitl stepped up. Feel bad for Jordan Eberle, Always does well for Team Canada. Edmonton got a steal drafting him when they did and he played well. He needs a fresh start, he was ruined by all the losing years in edmonton i believe, Can still be a dynamic scoring winger, Tavares can help him (if he stays in the island).
"Eberle's numbers have been going down and he didn't perform in the playoffs" Yea, because Mclellan plays Mcdavid for 30+ minutes a game lmao, how you gonna get any ice time
Good luck on the Island Jordan. Hope you regain your scoring touch. He is one of the most talented player in the show. He and Tavares are similar, I bet Jordan rips it up with JT
I have no idea how Strome will do, but this is already a decent trade for the Oil. Eberle was easily the worst forward all playoffs long. Forget no scoring, he wasnt even creating chances! So, no scoring, no scoring chances, no faceoffs obviously, no specialty team play…… all for the low price of $6 million.
Good luck to him on the Islnders. Seemed like a decent enough guy, just didnt work out.
Lets be real, If Eberle couldn't produce with McDavid who is the current Art ross, Hart, and ted lindsay trophy winner, hes not going to produce with JT who is a lesser center.

I'll miss Jordan Eberle
First
Sportsnet keep up the good work I love you videos
I'll preserve judgements until we give the Strome kid at least a chance. Lot of people are freaking out again like the Hall-Larsson trade.

Video thumbnail made it look like an interview with Eberle. Stop tricking us
I'm gonna miss my favourite player
Eberle wins for getting out of deadmonton.

Eberle looks like sponge bob
And McDavid looks like a giant midget
So sorry to see ebs going. But he is moving on to greener pastures.

They should have kept Eberle to go after another blockbuster deal.
so peter has given nyi a 1st rounder ( matt barzal) 2nd rounder and jordan eberle for ryan strome
man i hope he has a career season with the islanders.

Is this real ?

Also puts less pressure on Jesse Puljujarvi to play top 6 next year
Hall for Larsson 2.0
But it made more sense than Hall for Larsson
2009 world juniors !!!Great memories.
Great move for both teams 👍
GET YOU AND YOUR GAPTEETH UP AND OUTA HERE HAHAHA GOOD RIDDANCE BUM

5.1 million in cap to play around with and a solid top 6 player..dont see how this isnt a win for the Oil.
I suppose they just felt there was a 'gap' in his play.
nice clickbait
Should be a good pickup for the Isles, Eberle is much more talented then Strome. Who knows maybe change of scenery is good for both of them.
Anyone who says the hall for Larson trade was bad for the Oilers you obviously dont watch much hockey
Fresh start for both players. Maybe both will have good seasons next year
If Islanders fans are wondering how Tavares and Eberle work together look up videos from the 2009 World Juniors and let it show you.

ebs, get your lazy ass out of Edmonton and take it to New York. best wishes
eberle do nothing during the playoff and it's one of the reasons the oilers was eliminate
Nuge is next
I know it's for the best but I'm gunna miss you Jordan 😔
Thank You so much Ryan Stome, we'll miss you! Good luck!
that ending! so dramatic
Nice clickbait title and thumbnail there, SportsNet…. Thumbs down

I trust Peter. every move he has made so far, has bettered our team. I'm an Edmonton Oiler fan, not a Jordan Eberle fan.
We will miss u eberle
"and if you put him (Eberle) beside John Tavares, what does he become?"….the same guy who couldn't score beside McDavid….
Four Years Later… As an Islander Fan, I would say we got the better end of this deal. Thank you very much, Edmonton.
