We are short HIGH END forwards not just top 6 guys. You could’ve had a duo of Demidov and bedard and that’s ur one two punch for the next decade.
We will be regretting letting Demidov slip through our fingers for the next 15 years….
We who live in the Eastern Time Zone would like to offer a huge middle finger to whoever scheduled the late start time. Hopefully, they make it worthwhile to stay up that late, but I suspect I'll be adhering to my normal bedtime.
I think Demidov going at 5 is telling. I like the Hawks pick.

What concerns me the most is that one of the reasons Lev was picked over Demidov was his outgoing personality. So far, he seems introverted and like he's not connecting to his teammates very well. At least that's what I take from his comments as well as the Rockford players on your show earlier this season.

If we win the draft and select Schaefer, what are the chances we trade some of our mentioned defensive prospect for another top 4 pick?

To KD’s defense, he couldn’t watch Demidov in person, and he was lighting it up in Russian Juniors, which is a worser league the CHL. For a second overall pick, it is a big risk to grab a player in a lesser league that you have never seen in person. I think Arty was the SAFER pick. Doesn’t mean he is the BETTER pick, but in context, I think it was the right move
We traded (3) 1st Rd players and a 2nd rd player for Jones and people want to get rid of him and retain 1/2 his salery for 5 yrs. Seriously?
Trade Murphy is wise. But a 6’4” 213lb Right handed shot defenseman that leads your D-core in goals/points is a former All-star and 29/30 years old. Only makes sense to trade full salery to Dallas his homestate for a good haul in prospects. But Dallas has nothing for ‘25 so will have to be 2026-27.
Based on what we’ve seen so far in Rockford, Levshunov has a longer way to go in terms of becoming a top NHL defensemen than we originally thought. But defensemen sometimes take longer than forwards to develop and Levshunov is a special case as prior to Michigan state he was playing in Belarus so not necessarily as used to the North American style of the game yet. Hopefully he isn’t a dud but at this point you just help him learn/develop as best as you possibly can and hope he has the hunger and the work ethic and skill to continuously improve and become a center piece of the defense. If not, Blackhawks management and media should get used to the “should have drafted Demidov” from fans because it won’t go away. Still hoping we’re underestimating this kid and he becomes our next big star on defense. At worst, hopefully Levshunov becomes a solid second or third pairing defensemen. Though that would be disappointing for a #2 overall, you need solid defense up and down the lineup and if the Blackhawks are winning fans won’t care what number the guys on the team were drafted (unless Demidov becomes kucherov 😅)
