Ovechkin’s goal 878 is a BUZZER BEATER. 17 to go #TheGr8Chase

Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin JUST beats the buzzer on the empty-net goal, scoring his 878th goal of his career and now only needs 17 more goals to pass Wayne Gretzky on the NHL all-time scoring list. #TheGr8Chase

  1. dude has multiple and i mean 100’s of highlight reel goals, who cares how hes gonna beat gretzky, hes still the greatest goal scorer of all time even if he didnt pass him

  2. Imagine being 39 years old and being on pace for a 50 goals season. Even Gretzky and Jagr couldn't do that.

  3. That's a goal! Come on, even if we aren't counting the spirit of the sport, that's a goal inside of regulation!
I'm a Hurricanes fan, and I'm pulling Alex on this one! Come on!

  4. В какое чудесное время мы живем этот рекорд овечкина может быть на долгие десятилетия не побит

  5. Jagr is number one in NHL History for EN Goals. Is anyone going to try to discredit him and his accomplishments because of that? Didn’t think so.

  6. Is Ovie on the penalty kill? Because with 60+ empty net goals with the opposition pulling the goalie, I don’t think Ovie has one shorthanded goal.

  7. His hands down the greatest player to ever play in the NHL… he's going to beat Gretzky scoring record against much better goalies and much better players… and he's also 3rd in hits

  8. Watching him throught the video he was always looking for the chance to blow the zone and could have quite easily left the caps vulnerable. I still love him though!

  9. surprised no instant replay by the refs. How is this different from patrick kane's buzzer beater? Kane's goal was denied with .1 s on the clock.
