  1. Interesting story for any hockey players growing up with the big dream to play in the NHL. There are roughly 800 players on the 32 teams, and maybe another 200 replacements for injured players during the season, so the rough math is that about 1000 players (aged 18 to 40?) are active in any NHL season today. But it isn't necessarily the best 1000 players in the world, due to the contract system and ownership of player's rights by teams with very hierarchical and medieval systems of apprenticeship and service. "Getting a fair shot" at an NHL job is part of the dreamer's world, not the reality of that medieval system of torture and endurance test for minor leaguers wanting to play in big league. Working your way up the hierarchy of "bottom 6" and "top 6" or ranking of defensive pairings is another matter of luck mixed with who you know and who knows you and who believes in who, which is not objective judgment or morally fair but arbitrary or subjective judgments in how to run pro hockey business with hundreds of players competing for 20 spots per night. Good luck making it as a Shark, Andrew Poturalski but remember you are not dreaming when on that ice, and make it real for all fans.

  2. I echo everyone else. Granlund gone, Sturm and Kostin injured, time to give this guy a call up and let the kids marinate in the AHL.

  3. The dude leads the AHL in points, and he's an AHL all-star. He deserves a call-up now that Granny's gone and with all the other injuries.still lingering.

  4. With granny gone… Give this guy a shot. He's noticeable every game with the cuda'. Eventually good play has to get rewarded… Right?

  5. Really hope he gets more chances with the NHL! Always appreciate the hat he did for the Firebirds in those first two years. 🙏

  6. Mike Greer the GM who played on the Sabres, with Pots playing on the Jr. Sabres you’d think there’d be enough consideration to make the lineup

  7. I love this content with Brodie! These Tank Talks are great! I also love that we get coverage of the Sharks and Cuda!

  8. Would love for him to get the 9 games in the NHL this season before the AHL playoffs as a show of good faith considering that we aren't going to the playoffs in the NHL. Wishing him the best of luck.

  9. and today on 2/4/2025 he got his call up and hopefully a chance to have some shifts in his first NHL game with the Sharks.
