0:35 Devils Linked to J.T Miller

NHL Insiders have linked the New Jersey Devil to Vancouver Canucks forward, J.T Miller. Will the Devils move on from top prospect, Simon Nemec after he spoke out on requesting a trade, will a bidding war start between the New York Rangers and Devils and is J.T Miller the missing piece. Mark Pye and Darius Domingues break down all this and more on this episode of Hat Trick HQ.

  1. Miller has a no trade clause. He and his wife seem lretty settled in their home and community with her business. But, he seems to be unhappy at moment. So who knows.

  2. I don't think Nemec is enough. No one really knows what he can become, at least as of yet. It's a gamble for the Canucks.

I would think a better trade would be: Nemec + Mercer to the Canucks for JT Miller + something else. Maybe the Canucks need to throw in their 2025 1st. But to include their 2025 1st might be too much.

  3. Lmao. "So the Rags dont get him"….the rags aren't a real threat right now. Miller would be a disaster for them in 2 years or less(actually not sure how much term he has left). They can have him.

  4. Yeah ok. $8 Million cap space. Moving out Palat? He has a no movement clause. The Devils do not have a need for TJ Miller another $8Million dollar forward.

  5. JT Miller is a cancer on a team. Why would NJ trade for a cancer and give up a #2 overall pick in Nemec. Pass on JT Miller. This is just Vancouver trying to raise the price for JT Miller

  6. One key thing is Tocchett's benched Miller a couple of times in the past 3 or 4 games, Pettersson's never been benched, even when he was struggling last season on one knee. I think that shows who Tocchett believes in the most right now. Pettersson also went into a 128 point pace during the 10 games Miller was out, then back to struggling by his standards when Miller came back in, and even the other 19 guys are struggling now. Miller just needs a new scene as something happened to him here that's messing with his mind and he has to go before he's fully ruined and lost any trade value and potential to recover in a new place with a new dressing room and situation.

  7. They'd need a center to come back. They're likely trying to work a three way deal to explore more options. Nemec is probably a peice Van is interested in fer sure

  8. EP40 has been forced to cater to both Miller and Tocchet so perhaps the problem will not disappear until the coach changes his approach? EP40 just had to conform to playing shit minutes on second line with subpar line-mates (which is BS), while JT was allowed to bolster his numbers. Miller is an elite second liner, nothing more. His bullying is so distasteful, especially when you are not NUMBER 1. Hypocritical screaming does not work with quiet, world class players. Elias would have ended up exploding/killing Miller in an assassination if he would have allowed himself losing composure. And it is mis-coaching as well. If Bodreaux can get the best out of EP why not Tocchet? This is bloody obvious.

  9. Miller + Höglander for Jack Hughes. Canucks are piss poor on offense right now. To trade Miller, a 100+ point guy for an unproven AHL player is stupid!

  10. Devils want Boeser or Garland. Their issue is secondary scoring, and it hasn't come much from lines 3 or 4. Devils have been playing so sloppy lately, can't control the puck, give it up while in the oppositions zone, can't clear on a PK. I'm hoping if the Devils wanted a premiere player they'd be looking at Ottawa and Tkachuk, especially since there's family connections there. Devils need to keep it simple. Nemec for Boeser and start there.
