I really am sad to see his potential wasted.
I was way more excited for skinner than arvidsson.
Skinner has not made much headway this season, arvidson is more consistent I think. The thing I noticed is he is not really a team player, earlier when he was playing decent he would constantly try and score from brutal angles. He’s falling down all the time, always loses the battles. Do feel he got a shitty hand still.
Kapanen and Skinner are snubbed by Knobbbb. This is exactly why Brog and Hollywood left. He doesn't give talented young guys a real chance. Kap is so talented. Why did he ever come down off the top two lines? For me, Janmark……, they prioritized signing him over Holly. What are they thinking? Skinner's confidence is shot. He doesn't look good out there anymore. I'm not surprised he is being cut. KNobbb ruined his confidence.
If you think it's bad now, wait until Kane comes back. Then there will be two players we can complain about not playing. We are just pretty deep right now with no injuries. Skinner may provide more scoring than Janmark, but Janmark plays heavier, forechecks better and retrieves pucks. You need balance on a team and at the moment, with a full top 6, we need go getters rather than finesse. Sucks for Skinner, but that's the way it goes when you are on a good team. Just be ready to make an impact when you're in and that's all you can do.
I would honestly see about trade . Pat Kane for E Kane with skinner. The style Pat Kane brings would mesh with nutch and arvy you keep the big line together. I just see chemistry with pat kane. I no it’s far fetched and unrealistic. But makes me wonder 🤔
Sometimes it feels like every Oiler's coach needs a skilled player to bench. Broberg suffered under Woodcroft and Skinner can't do anything right by Knoblauch even after scoring on the fourth line.
