  1. Guys like Hartman and Sam Bennet need to get these kind of suspensions. I’m all for rough hockey, but these guys are just straight up trying to hurt people.

  2. Between Hartman getting a slightly longer suspension that I expected and the penalty differential in tonight’s game (specifically the L’Hereux double minor and the Wilsby breakaway turning into an own goal instead of a penalty shot), it feels like the league is backing Ottawa. While Hartman has nothing to do with this game and I have no problem with 10 games versus the 8 I expected, the infraction strictness very much favored Ottawa to the point where I might even call it tampering as it affected the outcome of the game.

  3. Just saw the "play" from Hartman… Holy shit!! That was more like a WWE finisher. I am surprised it was only 10games! His forearm was right on his neck and he put all his body weight on him. He could have easily broke his neck and died.

This is actually fucked up. If people think Knee on knee or slew footing is bad don't watch this

  4. I believe you said he was going to get six games I thought he was going to get five. This is really going to hamstring the wild during this entire suspension which Gary Bettman will uphold

  5. Blah, keep the reviews out of the news videos. Why would I listen to a 5 minute talking review of the game when I could watch the highlights?

  6. Thanks for the video! Great info, details, and insights! Ten games and lots of coin. Not sure there is anything to appeal really. I had the Sens.

  7. Saw where the Isles picked up Adam Boqvist off waivers.

Sorry his career hasn’t gone to plan due to so many injuries, but I still think back to the time as a Chicago fan when they drafted him instead of the bigger and more sturdy d-man prospect they needed: Evan Bouchard.

  8. Imma biased Sens fan, so grain of salt, but I thought the non-call on the breakaway was correct. He didn't trip him with his stick. It was body on body and he lost his footing. You are allowed to check someone. If they fall over from a check it's not a trip. If you take their legs out, it's a trip. Fine line but I think it's the right call.

  9. From watching that replay put out by DPS, I am, if anything, somewhat mollified that the suspension wasn't shorter. As for the likelihood of an appeal resulting in a shortening of it, no chance, zero. If anything, Bettmen just might lengthen it.

  10. The complete lack of respect by hartman deserved the at least the 10. A players career is short enough without having to worry about clowns like him doing this crap. Nice to see the department of player safety actually stick up for the victim for a change.

  11. As a Wild fan, I don't condone this at all. I also don't condone the constant hacking / cheap shots on Kaprizov. A BIG part of the entire reason this happened is because of retaliation. Retaliation on a cross check on Kap, retaliation on the NHL for the slap on the wrist fines / light suspensions for cheap shots on Kap, and the lack of calls by refs when Kap takes a cheap shot. This crap has been going on for 3 years and if the Wild had stood up and done something like Hartmann did 3 years ago, this probably wouldn't have happened.

  12. Sens fan here. I absolutely 100 percent thought it was a pen from Sandy on the Preds. I’ve watched the replay today and the ref got it right.

I would however like to ask if anyone on earth actually knows what Goaltender interference is?

  13. Bettman better not undermine DoPS on one of the too-few occasions when they get reasonably tough on a dangerous goon.

  14. That was one of the most one sided called games I’ve watched all season. Mind you I’m not a fan of either team. But there were at least 3 penalties that were missed that would put the preds on the power play. Also L’Heureux getting a double minor for roughing was a joke.

  15. Honestly, getting the call right supersedes the flow of the game. Doesn't mean every review/challenge should take ten minutes, but the outcome of the game could've been affected. Nashville gets that goal and it can spark a bit more life and energy on the ice and the bench. Gotta get these calls right. Simple as that.

  16. Well looks like a ten game run for the Wild. Hartman is a big F**k up with an occasional goal here and there. Nothing lost for the team, mostly gained.

  17. In 2021-22 Ryan Hartman had thirty something goals and sixty something points. Minny usually gets the most out of their players but I think there was a bit of mishandling with Hartman the following season from that one for there to have been such a big drop off. Not saying he could have stayed at that clip, but it feels like they could’ve deployed him the following season in a better way to have that production not fall off so drastically.

This is not excusing the behavior of course, but I have seen frustration growing in Hartman for a couple seasons now after he had that one stand out season and then immediately dropped off and had a massive reduction in ice time.

  18. The short handed breakaway in the third that the fans didn't like looked like a trip in real-time, but if you look at the replay you can see that the player falls after Sanderson has removed his stick. There was contact with Sanderson's arm on his leg, but it is after the contact stops that the Nashville player catches an edge and falls. In real-time though which is all the fans have it looked like an eggregious non-call. The slow motion replay makes it look like it was probably a 50/50 judgement call. As a sens fan I certainly wouldn't have complained about that call especially since I thought that overall the penalties were in Ottawa's favour that game anyways.
