Wild on 7th – Episode #90: Wild Radio Joe O’Donnell, Shovelers, Flower and Hartman

Wild Radio host Joe O’Donnell joins the pod from Boston in a new segment we are calling “Radio from the road,” to discuss the road trip, the special night in Montreal, toasty dogs, and his picks for the big football game approaching this weekend. Carts and King weigh in on shoveling vs snow blowing vs snow removal services, and a Kwik Trip Ice Team member joins the shenanigans. The guys talk hockey and Hartman, in hopes the foreseen sussy isn’t too lengthy or too costly. Welcome to a fresh take on Wild on 7th.

  1. Too bad these guys are in bed and tight with all the core players.

They can’t objectively see that plugs like Hartman & Foligno are detrimental to the team, and will never bring this team postseason success.

Develop speed, talent and scoring, stop targeting plugs and signing them to NMCs

Maybe bottoming out after Kaprizov leaves this train wreck mid team will be a blessing. Getting multiple top 5 picks would be nice

  2. Giving a player money to cover future fines is bizarre. You pay a guy to play a role on your team. Carts is sounding like Bounty Gate!

  3. The shovel to the end and then snowblow the pile system is proper 40+ Minnesotan technique!

  4. confusing take by Carter… so a player like Matt Cooke should have had an extra $250k in his AAV so he didn't have to pay for destroying another player's knee each season…really?

  5. Wow, my gosh you guys. So it would be okay for a player to be paid extra to take out or rough up Kaprizov? Have you guys lost your mind? Sandpaper is one thing, but Hartman has been a guillotine. Very shocked at Carter's response. Lost a ton of respect for him. I mean I know in his game broadcasts he has become a Wild apologizer and rarely tells it like it is or is critical (commonplace now that the teams basically have control of the broadcasts) but his take is simply awful on what Hartman did.

  6. Paying players extra to cheat and make dirty plays? That's a concerning take. I wonder what Cart's opinion of the Saints bounty scandal vs the Vikings is.
