  1. I'm in. They've beaten a few 30+ win teams within the last few weeks, and that shows a LOT. Plus, they're winning when the odds are against them, and they're closing games in pressure situations.

  2. Only half their future top-2 lines are in Detroit now.

    2026-2027 Core
    1. Dylan Larkin, C (31)
    2. Free Agent, W (30) (FA, 25-26)
    3. Alex DeBrincat, W (29)
    4. Lucas Raymond, RW (25)
    5. D Buchelnikov, LW (23) (KHL, 26-27)
    6. Marco Kasper, C (23)
    7. Moritz Seider, RD (26)
    8. Simon Edvinsson, LD (24)
    9. Sandin-Pellikka, RD (22) (SHL, 25-26)
    10. Free Agent, LD (31) (FA, 26-27)
    11. Sebastian Cossa, G (24) (AHL, 25-26)
    12. Trey Augustine, G (22) (NCAA, 26-27)
    Average Age: 25.83

  3. Even if Detroit just misses out this year based on such a terrible start under Lalonde to make up, it can definitely be argued with competent and proven coaching the Wings can end the drought next season.

  4. Whoever you have doing your uploads is bad at their job…just uploaded an outdated video. Not just by 1 day or 2 days but this is from 3 days ago. Upload your videos that day to be relevant news.

  5. The problem is where do I watch them play? I’m not paying for this Baley/FanDuel bullshit. Be on actual cable or remove blackout restrictions and I’ll watch

  6. Its fools gold, annual fools gold….won't make playoffs, will get 18th pick overall and not land a player that we wont see for half decade…..yzerman is the problem

  7. Nope. I've been hurt too many times with the March collapses in the last couple years. Same shit they got hot in January and February then somebody gets hurt sometime before March and the team falls off. Won't buy in until mid March

  8. I was the BIGGEST Red Wings nut from 1987 until 2010 or so, but once they started missing the playoffs, I dropped out for almost a decade.

I'm back in. Watched the whole game last night.

  9. I love when my team goes 14-4 in the last 18 and the prime time radio guys spend 10 minutes listing the reasons they dont want to watch.

    Great stuff!

  10. This is the real Yzerplan in effect. Young guys making an impact. Soderblom has a point in 4 straight. Johansson is thriving on the second line. Edvinsson has continued ascending. The Soderblom/Berggren line has scored in 4 straight games. Kasper is playing very well on the top line. With the cap increasing, they have Raymond, Seider, and Larkin at an insane bargain. The arrow is pointing straight up.

Lalonde was the problem all along. Even if they don't make the playoffs, this is what we expected them to look like in 2024-25. Lalonde couldn't motivate them to make a sandwich. McLellan has unlocked the grit Detroit is known for.

  11. Valenti and Rico pretending they know their asses from their elbows about hockey is hilarious. Btw Mike it’s McLellan not “McLennon”, at least act like you’re a professional radio host dude.

  12. I love hockey and love my redwings! I’ll put on every game I can. If they start to get blown out or playing sloppy I change it but I’m all on my redwings.

  13. What do you expect, worst local radio station ive ever heard. Valenti has talent but he has no clue the history of the most successful franchise in detroit sports history, not to mention his an outsider covering detroit sports teams like a clown, poking and proding the fans with his abysmal takes. They call it hockeytown for a reason, yet these guys have no clue, because theyve never played the game, couldnt play the game if they tried. People who play the game even at a beer league level understand how special this sport is, and have respect for it, but unfortunately it's not a diverse sport due to the cost, so naturally pc radio stations arent gonna talk about it, oh well, their loss not hockey fans loss. But the nhl at large has done a terrible job with their promotion, they should be handing out equipment to low income kids and theyd have a bigger fan base, because once you play it you never appreciate another sport more for the skill and dexterity needed, theres nothing like the sound of blades hitting the ice and being able to hit a quick stop and cut and turn on a crossover going backwards while you figure out how to puck handle and flick a wrister in the top corner, its like learning to walk all over again while simultaneously feeling like your flying, these dudes are missing out and so are a lot of kids, but thats on the nhl not this second rate local radio station.

  14. You see for me it’s the Pistons that I can’t claw with any effort to watch because the NBA as a whole is pathetic. It’s a shell of its former self. I seriously would rather watch Tennis or arm-wrestling for real.
