Florida Panthers Honor Dmitry Kulikov for 1,000th NHL Game, Rally to Beat Islanders

Carter Verhaeghe had a hat trick with four points, Sasha Barkov had three assists, and Kulikov was honored for playing in his 1,000th NHL game.

The Panthers have won three straight.

Sam Reinhart had a 3-point night as he hit the 30-goal mark for the fourth straight season; Sergei Bobrovsky had 24 saves in the win.

Sunday, Florida led 2-0 on Verhaeghe’s first two goals before the Islanders scored three straight.

Evan Rodrigues tied it, Sam Reinhart gave the Panthers the lead back going into the third where Verhaeghe and Matthew Tkachuk each scored.

Spencer Knight had 30 saves.

The Panthers kick off a two-game road trip Tuesday in Washington.
