Absolutely crazy it's come to this. Canucks haven't had a player of Pettersson's calibre since the Sedins so the fact he's even on the table is unfathomable. Can't imagine us coming out on top of any deal that happens.
Trade him to Montreal please

I’ve never liked ep40 …. I don’t like his attitude and pouting…. I am not a Canucks fan but I think they should get rid of him while they have the leverage before his no trade kicks in…
elias pettersson is a very good player for 10.5 million but not a good player at 12 million …
I loved the guy his first few seasons. Now he has no drive, he hasnt taken over a game in over a year.

No comparison. And the way salaries are increasing, Petey's $11.6M salary could look like a steal in a few years.

Cut your losses if you can, signs of things to come, get rid of 11 million and start again with that centre position!
Get rid of Miller for either a D man or center and same with EP. Use Demko for some leverage if needed.
Get some muscle to help look after Hughs and Garland while your at it.
Pederson had 2 good seasons and has peaked. Last 3 seasons he sucked. More swedish crap that cant play a mens game.
Petty played awesome for those two weeks Miller was suspended. Keep him.

I'm very open to trading Pettersson. I'm concerned he won't produce to the level of his contract in the present and future. And to me he's not a playoff type producer. I could be wrong but I highly doubt it.
At this point I kinda hope he gets traded. For his sake. The fans and media scrutiny in Vancouver is outta this world. He needs a fresh start more than anything. Tocchet was never a got fit as a coach for him either. He wants 4 lines of Millers.

I doubt Pettersson will be traded. His marketvalue is very low right now, Nucs wouldn't get much in return.
