Good Morning and Good Night DK Great Show, Sidney got punched in the back of his Head when he slid down into the Goalie. And Sidney got to the Bench and I read his lips he wanted to see if he threw a punch and he did and I'm surprised that you didn't notice it was clearly obvious!!! And that led to what happened later and did you notice that nobody on the opposite side are not helping him. I really hope that they can get it together and turn this Team around and Win some more Championships!!!
It's never not nice to win games. Even against Nashville. Did people notice this was a shutout by the way? Those are rare.
I wont ever say a win is a bad thing,but can we stop talking about how great every goalie we play against as an excuse to explain our inability to score and start looking inward?
After the Pens lose 3 out of their next 4, will you finally admit that this season is over? Over their last 12 games, they are the second worst team in the league, behind only the Sharks. Yes, those Sharks that just beat the Pens in San Jose. The thing to get excited about in the trade is the first round draft pick. That's it. This team is not good enough. It has never been good enough. Last, even if by some miracle this team makes the playoffs, which they won't as they only have more points than the Sabers, they will get trounced in 4-5 games in the first round. That would hurt the team more than help it.

So, been a fan since the mid 80's, huh. So you got to have the best player in the league on your team for the last 40 some odd years. 66-68-87. Won five cups,been to six. And you can't handle missing the playoffs twice. Maybe some fans just aren't necessary. Pens fan for life
Good morning DK, so yes we received a 1st for those guys along with a talented 18 year old, Heinen who is better than O'Connor, and a huge tough defenseman!! Ok, if the market is going this way, do you think it would be a good time, if looking to trade Raks or Rust, to look for an underperformed very very good winger who is young(those seem to be what Dubas is after) and if it takes another player swap and/or us throwing a high draft (we have 10 top 3 rounders in the next 3 years) to FINALLY get Sid a winger somewhat what McDavid, Matthews, McCinnen , whoever in Carolina is playing with Rann, type winger!! Now, don't get me wrong Getz was great but he's not exactly elite as those guys I mentioned. If Dubas could somehow clear Karlsson off the books we'd have $$$ to go after Marnier, just saying…..
Hey DK I really liked that question today, why should fans invest in a team that sleepwalks till they can't. I look at it from a different angle. For this team to win they all have to dial into a system where I dare say becomes robotic. The problem is the Penguins are really not a deep team, and I think that comes of no surprise. A motivated Sid is a scary player cause he has an extra level, and next up I'd say Karlsson is the other guy, Malkin & Letang used to be. The rest of the team is all operating on working the system, the skillset isn't high, the hockey IQ is not high, and they get frustrated because the system isn't fun….hockey is suppose to be fun. If teams can shutdown Sid they shutdown the Penguins. Management hasn't done enough to have legit skilled players who can help take over a game. Sullivan's system of high tempo only works if you have great skaters who can possess the puck, and even his favorite Rust can't do both at the same time, even Rakell…..who is having a great season when you look at his body of work since joining this team, without Sid is he taking over a game? In years past, teams had to contend with the two headed monster, that ain't the case that much these last few years, the big shot, the brilliant skating, owning the puck, the Malkin magic has fizzled out. Letang was always high risk but helped create offense, now…..his defense, his play in general, and his offense have all suffered and if he gets caught static, he turns the puck over, shoots into shinpads and can't catch up to the play anymore. These guys were your gamebreakers that took pressure off of Sid, and they really can't rise to their previous roles or levels anymore. Even look at Bunting, he caught fire playing with Sid on the PP, but is offensively quiet with Geno and even though playing incredibly hard without Geno of late, the offense has left? I do like Hayes, he's big, and can possess the puck and make plays, but buried in the bottom six with who he is, his offense will be spotty at best as well. The depth is so low on this team offensively, and to expect any additional leadership in the locker room is unrealistic…..I call it the Penguin sputter. As the talent around Sid and this team degrades, the team sputters, and has been for years. I fully expect a motivated Crosby to go on a tear, Rak and Rust will benifit from this…..the whole team will catch the high and look great at times…….but if Sid has an off night, so will the Penguins…….its the Penguin Sputter. Dubas needs to bring in legit talent and not just another guy who owns a pair of skates.
hey they finally won two in a row. That's progress. If Dubas keeps making good roster moves like this then they'll get better before they get worse.

If they can get 5/6 points man I’ll take that over none. But as you mention DK we struggle against the Devils.
