Its crazy how well Drouin plays when hes teammates with Mackinnon vs when hes not. Like a totally different player, especially defensively.
Also Necas is the best passer on our roster now, hes absolutely ridiculous at those cross ice passes and doesnt turn it over hardly
When I saw miles wood chasing guy in O-zone near end of game I thought don’t take a penalty….slash What’s wrong with him?
I hated the last few minutes. Penalty, which thank God it was another kill, and then the stupid selfless passes for the open net goal. That was so stupid. I just wanted Necas and Mack to get another point. They had a chance and passed. I want this Necas trade to be show it’s worth in the points category. So far it’s working out amazing. But I want him to pass the “guy that was traded” lol. And I want Mack to take a comfortable lead in the nhl stats. I’m so sick of hearing about McDavid. I want to hear about our guy. Oh. And Blackwood…so incredible. I’ve been wanting him on the team since he stopped 48 of 50 against the Avs in an early season game last season.
I think these matinee games are killing them. Terrible schedule this year

When Nichuskin comes back I think Wood is out. Such a low iq play at the end of the game. He doesn't offer much other than speed
The ranger game had me glued to my seat. NYI embarrassed us then we go up against the Blues and demolish them. Following that up with owning the Flyers in our second matchup. I am excited for the few games before the 4 Nation break.
Powerplay is better with 88 than 96 this season
I'd like to see the Avs shutout a top team in the NHL instead of just against the 23rd and 25th worst teams in the league. Maybe these wins right the ship before going into the 3 game Canada trip and the break. I'm not going to say they're fixed because again these were dog crap teams, they were expected to win.
And I was expecting Girard to miss that point blank shot like he does 95% of the time. Congratulations on your 3rd goal as an offense dman, maybe you'll finally raise his trade value and Avs can replace EJ finally. Girard's play has never been questioned for regular season. It's the playoffs where he is completely useless and is a liability at his size. In 60 playoff GP he has a whopping 2G and less than 5 assists in each of last 4 playoffs, and is riddled with giveaways. I don't give a shit about his passing ability, HE'S A PLAYOFF LIABILITY
They have a tendency to go into breaks hot but it's the coming out of the break that gets them
Legitimately, how many times in the past 3 years have we seen the Avs play a fully complete game? You could probably count it on one hand. This current roster since the cup winning team never plays 3 complete periods. They have a major focus problem and it never gets fixed. It’s still evident with these two wins as you guys mentioned
