GC Eagles Varsity Lose To Farrell Even After Ben Fischer Logs Double-Double

GC Eagles Varsity lost to Farrell, 58-49, on Friday at Farrell Area High School even though Ben Fischer scored 14 points and grabbed 14 rebounds.
Despite the loss, Nathan Greer had a solid game with 17 points for GC Eagles Varsity.
Trailing 26-14, GC Eagles Varsity went on a 10-point run to close the gap.
GC Eagles Varsity bested Farrell 11-9 in the second quarter, their strongest of the game.
GC Eagles Varsity shot well from distance, going 4-10 from three. GC Eagles Varsity rebounded the ball well, collecting 26 rebounds. Fischer led the team with 14 rebounds. Daniel Mariacher hit two threes for GC Eagles Varsity. GC Eagles Varsity passed the ball well with 11 assists on 16 made baskets. Christian Kurz led the team with five assists. Fischer (14 points), Max Knouse (9 points), Mariacher (6 points), and Nick Earman (3 points) helped out GC Eagles Varsity as well.
Juelz Johnson scored 27 points to lead Farrell. Johnson knocked down two shots from beyond the arc for Farrell. Also contributing for Farrell were Trae Cousins (11 points), Julius Phillips Jr (7 points), Bryson Chambers (5 points), Jamauri Jones (4 points), Omario Boatwright (2 points), and Dorean Cain (2 points).
GC Eagles Varsity welcomes Slippery Rock on Saturday for their next game.
