The Philadelphia Flyers traded forwards Morgan Frost and Joel Farabee to the Calgary Flames, but in 2017 the Flyers traded Brayden Schenn to the St. Louis Blues in return for the Blues’ two first round draft picks who panned out to be Farabee and Frost. Schenn went on to hoist the Stanley Cup two seasons after being blindsided by the Flyers with the Blues. He also is the captain of the Blues. Needless to say Schenn is the real winner.

Do you agree that the St. Louis Blues are the REAL winners of the 2017 trade?!
It just goes to show that Keith Jones & Danny Briere aren't really in control of the Flyers' organization. John Tortorella is. It was no secret that Torts didn't like or have confidence in either of those Flyers players & wanted them gone. And when there is a rift between Torts & a player, he always gets his way. So, gone are 2 young former 1st round picks, who could still be developing. In return, the Flyers got 2 veteran under-achievers on expiring contracts, that probably will be 1/2 season rentals at best, & 2 future draft picks. A lop-sided trade which Calgary won.
