Empty Net35 strikes again
It was 3+ Goal Montembault, then 4+ Goal Montembault now Empty Net35
The 5-game streak is disappointing and has certainly undone a chunk of the progress they made in the past 6-7 weeks, but it’s important to stay level-headed. A couple injuries complicated things (more than it should!), but I think it is mainly a confidence issue right now, with a young team. They just need a lucky break or two to get rolling and get into a 3-4 game win streak and they will be right back in it and everyone will be back on the bandwagon. 😉 “The team (that dominated for ~20 games) is still there”… With 30 games to go, nothing is lost yet. If they can win at least 2 (and hopefully 3) of their last 4 games before the break, this will help them tread water and earn the 12-day break to catch their breath and start fresh upon their return (and Heineman should be back?). They were not expected to make the playoffs anyway, and will only get better going forward with more talent next year. Stay positive everyone. 😉
11 hits total the entire game for the whole team? That is pathetic.
Please….for the love of everything…knock off this back pass BS on the powerplay and go back to gaining the red line, dump the puck in and go get it!!!!
I know every team does this garbage now…but taking 20-30 seconds off of every powerplay doing that junk only to still be confused while entering the zone trying to get through now your own players only to be stopped anyhow because the other team knows what you are going to do just drives me insane.
It worked when it wasn't predictable and not on every single attempt to get into a zone.
At least switch it up to confuse the opponents…rather than telegraphing something so obvious every single time.
Drives me nuts.
The dagger has officially been delivered on the season unfortunately.
💔 🗡
Montreal is now out of the running for the playoffs. They need a 10-game winning streak to get back "into the mix."
Whole team has lost the edge where they were little bit ahead of other teams.
Laine had one 2 on 1 offensive but he didnt get the puck. Goal on that and things would look different. But he wasnt that passionate on ice. Not lazy but just wasnt pushing enough. His line mates werent that good either and pp sucks.
Montreal is really weak on defense.
Thanks guys.
Love the habs but they need to play with more effort and energy, they play one good period of hockey out of three periods every night and you cant win games but playing hard for one period, need more urgency and need to be more active in trying to stay competitive every night we play
I'm back on tankathon
Back to Tankathon boys
Let Jesse talk a bit more hahaha.
Probably Laine is still injured , his game is no where near what he can do . Let be patient with him , even in the struggle , he still have his wrist shot at 100%
Even when Habs were winning, 2nd line faeoffs are bad and also their defensive play. 2nd line center just can't have 39% FO% + bad in defensive play.
Laine to Vancouver for Hoglander and a 1st with 50% salary retained by Montreal.
I would of traded Laine for Rantanen and a pick
pretty difficult to bench the whole team, i think the laine experiment is over, that guy is slow, i would'nt re-sign.
St Louis is the problem 100%.
He will be fired very soon.
1st round pick non protected 2025, and a prospect.🎉🎉🎉
Dach was benched in the 3rd as well and this is ignored.
It seems to be glaringly obvious how impactful Heinemann and Ghule were to this team.
Awesome Jesse
St-Louis NEEDS a major wake-up slap that 1-1 will ever lead to NOTHING. Our winning streak was just a lucky one. And WE HAVE ABSOLUTELY no good reasons to Trade Evans
Well, we have few elite players only in front, Suzuki and Cole, Later on also Laine. I believe, 2nd line Demidov…rest of the teams are 3rd liners (Dach, Newhook, Slaf, Galagher, Beck, Hage) and 4 liners (Evans, Heineman, Xhekaj, Anderson)….Trade some prospects like Roy, Mesar, H-P, Farell, Tuch, Kidney, add some draft picks, some D, I would trade also Newhook and trade for some skilled, productive and elite 2nd line center
Cant stand narcisse st-louis…what a…
